Ordered the Chinese chicken salad : Had big chunks / hard to eat. Pretty ordinary, the best part was the tender chicken. Would’ve preferred it tossed, the dressing was given on the side , was cold and a bit hard from being in the fridge.
A bit disappointed, but the pastry selections looked good.

Yellow Vase has a relaxed atmosphere where you can meet someone and talk. I ordered an Americano which was fine, no food. I didn’t experience service as it’s a walk up and order situation.

The view alone makes it an amazing spot. The decor is inviting and quaint, and the food is delicious. I've been coming here for years and this is my favorite location. When it's clear, you can get lost in the ocean view. I've never had a bad meal here, and the last time I was here (a few days before Mother's Day) the staff was super friendly and kind.

I made an online order, arrived in 30 minutes, they didn't even start making it. If you make an online order, you know that it takes much longer here, the service is not very good.

I visited your restaurant today with a friend and was disappointed by the service, which is surprising as I am a regular customer and have never experienced this before.
We ordered two breakfast meals with coffee. I requested 2nd refill for the coffee, and specifying that I’d like it diluted with some hot water. However, I wasn’t informed that there would be an additional charge for this. Instead, I overheard the staff discussing the charge in Spanish, perhaps assuming I wouldn’t understand. Only after handing me the coffee did they inform me it would cost an additional dollar.
If there is a charge for coffee refills, that information should be communicated upfront, not discussed among the staff. I've never been to a restaurant that charges for a basic coffee refill, so this caught me off guard.
The dollar charge itself isn’t the issue, but the way it was handled left a negative impression. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider returning to your restaurant.

The problem we had today was with the food. I have always had great food at all the Yellow Vase Cafe’s but today was horrible. We ordered French Onion Soup and only received a half of bowl. The bread was 2 little slices and 1 hard burnt slice of a baguette. No butter. I saw someone with a soup and half of sandwich on our way out and they had a large bowl that was full. The soup was also served in a plastic bowl??? I have their soup many times and have never been so disappointed.

First time here, got food to go. Got their Monte Cristo sandwich, which is an old school classic that is rarely made anymore, outside of Disneyland's Blue Byou. Yellow Vase's version is black forest ham and Swiss cheese between excellent chibata French toast. Dusted with powdered sugar and maple syrup it is one of the best versions I've ever had. Sorry, no sugar-free syrup available. Still, an awesome portion, it was great to have this old friend again! The wife got their Caprese vegetarian sandwich with pesto on chibatta. Comes with grilled Eggplant and peppers and to tomato. Very, very delicious. Everything was done perfectly. Would definitely order this one again. Comes with a side green salad with an excellent basalmic dressing. Got two Arnold Palmers. They have some serious looking pastery cases, which we will have to investigate next time.!

First time at yellow vase never really travel around this area thought it would be nice to experience a new cafe. The atmosphere is calming many flowers with green accents and as the name suggests it’s themed in yellow which I’m assuming helps allows guests to feel comfortable. I ordered a red eye and a slice of vosgien. The red eye is strong, close to a nice cold brew. The Vosgien was a little dry and the crème too sweet for my taste. Don’t really have room to order an actual meal, but on a second run I’ll stop by and properly sample their food selection. I paid $10 for both items and to be honest I’d rather invest in and support a local business than a Starbucks or Dunkin Dounuts any day.
