Upscale Hermosa Beach eatery. Well executed food, nicely presented, served by an excellent staff. Space is small, so seating is limited and tight/cozy. Gets loud and boisterous in there when it's packed, but that's what's to be expected. Ahi Tuna Tower, Black Mussels, Lobster Ravioli, Chilean Seabass are standout offerings here, as well as their in-house cocktails.
The service and atmosphere was great but the food was not compared to the prices. My meal was about 30 bucks and the pasta was not fully cooked.

Food was good, the service was excellent. We enjoyed our evening until six o'clock when the music was turned up. We then had to raise over voices to talk. A bit annoying. Also not a fan of bartenders throwing empty bottles across the bar into the trash can. Other than that it was a love;y experience.

Selection was limited to a number of prix fixe items on Valentine's Day. Salmon was nice. Cooked just right. Paired well with mixed vegetables & caesars salad. Overall enjoyed the meal.
Fantastic food. Great service. Great ambiance. We sat in the main dining area. I had a great cocktail from the cocktail list with gin/lavender/egg white whip/etc, and my wife had an excellent glass of montepulciano. The bread and the artichoke appetizer were great. We had 2 pastas that were SO good...the all-beef bolognese and the chicken salsicce were definitely worth coming back for. The chocolate cake was the best chocolate cake we've had in our lives. Can't wait to come back to try the branzino and Chilean sea bass and steak and burata and the other 10+ things we saw on the menu that sound phenomenal.

Such a nice dinner for my husband's birthday. Not only is the food fresh and flavorful, but they have a very nice variety for a large group. And the corkage is a nice plus, first bottle free and low cost for subsequent bottles. Thanks for a lovely night.

Some dishes were very good, some are mehhh. The calamari, for instance, was overcooked and soggy. My friend's skirt steak was two little pieces the size of an iphone pro max. It looked sad, the portion overly rationed as though it were the apocalypse. The dining platters in which the food is served is drab and outdated, making the food look like “comfort” food.

Zanes has the best Happy Hour in Hermosa Beach. We are locals and have been to all the HH in the area. HH prices are great, food is very good and service is excellent. I suggest making reservations, especially in the summer. Also, their corkage fee is EXCELLENT as the first bottle is free and every bottle after that is only $15.00. Highly recommend Zanes.
This amazing restaurant is one of my favorites. I don't live close but when in Hermosa I always stop in and take advantage of the wonderful food and drinks. The staff is beyond amazing and make you feel at home. A few of my favorites are the Tuna tartare appetizer, Bolognese, And chilean Seabass.  They have gluten-free options which is always nice. Be sure to make a reservation as it's a very popular local spot !

I surprised my fiancee with a date night here and we had a lovely time! I made a reservation and the system is very on top of things. I got emails and texts about everything. The food was really good. Actually, the bread before the meal was super yummy! We couldn't help but want more even though we needed to leave room for our actual meals. The service was quick and attentive and the food came out in a timely manner, which was great. Side note, we used the parking lot across the street and it's not that big, but we were able to get lucky and grab a spot when someone was leaving. However, the painted number on the parking space was hard to read, so we ended up paying for the wrong one. Still, we put the parking receipt on the dashboard and didn't get a ticket, so it ended up okay. Just be careful!

There were 4 of us dining. My Cioppino was not hot, two shell fishes never opend/ were bad. Bread never arrived, the 2 sides of Asparagus and Brussel sprouts arrived after we were done with our entrées. Our wine was never poured, never asked how our meal was or if there's anything we need. Wasn't even crowded, to blame it on the occupancy. We are loyal customers. Never had this issue in the past.
