Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

Typical buffet fare. Empty pans. Food sitting out too long (green scrambled eggs). Some food great (ham), some not so great (soup). Interesting twist with the Slurpee machine. Did not rate service because I never saw a server.

I want to give a huge thank you to the entire Thanksgiving crew at Golden Corral.

Our family used to go big for Thanksgiving — my mom would cook for three days straight, and the house was always full of family, friends, and nonstop food. One year, everything changed. It ended up being just my mom, my wife, and my son. We were invited to a distant relative’s gathering, but we knew there would be drama, and honestly, none of us wanted that.

My mom told me, “Find somewhere open for Thanksgiving.”
Golden Corral topped the list.

We were shocked at first by the long line — out the door and around the corner — so clearly the secret was out. But the line moved fast, and once we were seated, it was all about enjoying a great meal together. Multiple trips to the buffet, delicious food, no cooking, no cleaning… and then going home for a nap before the football games. It was perfect.

That experience became our new family Thanksgiving tradition, and we’ve been coming ever since.

This year, it was just my son and me. We arrived at about 2:00 PM, knowing it would be packed, ate heartily, and once again went home for a nap before the games. Couldn’t ask for a better way to spend the holiday when life gets busy and family dynamics get complicated.

Thank you, Golden Corral team, for making our Thanksgiving special every year.
We’ll see you again for Christmas dinner!

My friends and I get together at least once a month for Sunday brunch. We are all decent cooks but sometimes just want to indulge. Staff is amazing at the Hesperia location from wait to cooks. It's very well managed. Looking forward to returning soon.

Great experience at the Golden Corral in Hesperia.
The place was clean, the food was fresh, and everything was kept well-stocked even during busy hours. Staff was friendly, and one of the girls working there greeted me with a genuinely warm smile — small thing, but it really made my day.
I’ll definitely stop by this location again.

Update 11/27/2025. Came in for Thanksgiving and it was PACKED. But the staff was amazing as they usually are. Our waiter was Andres, and he was on top of it from the word go. He was very cordial and took care of our every need. This Golden Corral staff deserves a medal. They are all super awesome and always smiling.

Update 10/13/25: Came back to have some Golden Corral for the fourth time. They were understaffed but handling the customers with ease. Behind the grill was a young lady named Yadira, and she was handling the grill like a trooper. She and her supporting staff were running seeing like little working ants, handling everything very well. This Golden Corral is the only one I've ever visited. But if they all operate like this one does, they'll have no problem starting in business in California.

Update: Second time visiting The Golden Corral. Our first time was on thanksgiving, and it was a great first experience. Today we came back on Christmas day, and it was pretty chaotic. I believe it was because they were severely understaffed. But the staff that was present were doing a great job under the circumstances. For example, when we first sat down, our server had just started here shift. She seemed pretty stressed right off the bat, but it was because she stepped into CHAOS! Regardless, this young woman held her own, and was serving and greeting everybody in a very kind and professional manner. Her name is Heather and she's got the heart of a lioness! After chatting with her for a brief moment, it was obvious the sacrifice she was going through, working on Christmas day away from her loved ones. In the same manner, all the other employees I'm sure were doing the same. All the while with a smile on their faces.

Great job Golden Corral Hesperia staff!

First visit: I had never visited a Golden Corral in my life. But for Thanksgiving this year it was only my mom and myself. So instead of cooking for two, and making a mess that would later have to be cleaned up. We decided to go out to eat. And the Golden Corral was our destination of choice, as they were one of a few eateries nearby that were serving turkey dinner.

Well, I am pleased to say, it definitely did not disappoint. First off, there were plenty of food choices besides turkey.The food was delicious and fresh. The staff was very welcoming, and had smiles on their faces. And the price was extremely fair.

Needless to say, I believe I'll be back to visit the Golden Corral sooner than later.

We went on Thanksgiving so I'm not sure what the atmosphere is on a regular day but we had a great time. Food was great and staff was friendly even though you can tell it was a very hectic day. The line to get in looked like a line at an amusement park. It went by pretty quick though.

This restaurant is in need desperately of a remodel the other Golden Corral restaurant are 100X better than the location in Hesperia California
