So...I'm conflicted. I have been enjoying food from this place for so long and it was so well prepared I never thought I'd find a flaw but it happened. The other day as usual I went after work. I was done eating but went to buy something up front and happened to catch a glimpse of one of the cooks tasting the soup or whatever it was directly from his stirring spoon to mouth and putting it back in and did it one more time that I could see. Nobody seemed to bat an eye. I'm not sure if this is the norm there but it made me feel so grossed out because who knows what else is being allowed that the public doesn't see. The food is great and service is so so...there's one man that's always grumpy and the other its a hit or miss, depends what mood he's in I suppose. The woman has always been a great hostess to my friends and I. And there's like a 2 hour break. You have no idea how many times I've forgotten and driven all the way in vain. Do with this what you will

My family and i have been coming to orchid thai for over 10-15 years.
My sister, my niece and my two nephews stopped by to eat. A racist asian lady saw my sister and her kids waiting to be seated.
She waited over 10 min. Mind you. There was no other customers.
When she sat down my nephew (whos 4 and level 3 autistic) began to scream.
The racist, Asian lady was telling him”why you do that” And kept telling him to shut up. She kept saying”shhhh”
More customers walked in that were the same race as her. She quickly set them down and ignored my sister for the remainder of the time.
My sister was so upset and disappointed in her behavior. She took food to go home.
Never have we ever had a problem with Orchid Thai. Like I said we’ve been coming for over 10 to 15 years. My dad JC , Has spent a well amount of money here and for them To treat my sister and my niece and nephews this way is so unacceptable.
We don’t like this type of behavior and Sadly you have lost our business.
I left my information to the manager, and the manager/owner never reached out.

It's a gem! The food, especially the curries and Tom Ka, or outstanding! And the service and lovely family running Orchid That's are wonderful AND they have LIVE JAZZ on 3rd Friday, IIRC!
My husband and I came to eat here yesterday for the first time and it was delicious!! The gentleman that seated and served us was so friendly. Such a family vibe. The food was so delicious. It has a lot of flavor and tastes clean. He even gave us a sample of a coconut jello at the end of our meal. We will definitely be back! Thank you for making us feel so welcomed. ❤️

This place is absolutely horrible. The service is the worst I’ve had. The employees don’t care about their customers and they have bad attitudes and are completely rude. I will never go back here nor will I ever recommend it.

If you want Chinese food, don’t be fooled by this Thai restaurant. It as if they have never heard of Chinese food despite it being on their menu. Orange chicken mushy and bland and they wanted to toss my sweet and sour chicken in a sort of tomato sauce they call sweet and sour sauce. No, sweet and sour sauce is thick glaze that is both sweet and a bit sour. Congrats, you got me once but never again.
