I love Hilmar Cheese Company! I had a delicious turkey sandwich and a salad with walnuts and cranberries. I also got the chocolate ice cream !! Such a cool place !
I loved this place, samples of cheeses... they have the Best cheese, freshwater, an the new one SQIUCKY CHEESE WITH A LITTLE GREEN CHILE, RED CHILE IS TO DIE FOR, I ONLY WISH I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN MORE. PEOPLE VERY FRIENDLY....
Nice wide loading dock and loading was completed in less than 20 minutes.

Update: To answer the question in the response, no, I did not know of a second level. I was not told nor did I see a sign.
Not what I expected. Maybe I arrived on an off day. Basically a gift shop that sells cheese. But they do have a cafe that sells sandwiches and such. Also have ice cream. Hilmar doesn't make a big variety of cheeses. They had about 3-4 out to sample. Colby Jack, Cheese Curds, and a jalapeno one. I believe. Nothing too fancy but they do have a wall with a good selection of California Cheeses. So that was nice. Also sell have wine and other charcuterie items. And if you have time they'll put on a movie about the factory. What is neat is the outside area. There's a large mural. And two pretty waterfalls.
Staff is not that friendly and the workers share the seating tables in the main dining area where you sit and when there is more people you cannot find a place to sit to eat the workers take up quite a few seats. And I was told they have a break room
Very cool place to visit. The cafe on site is great, with very nice service and good food.

This place has the best cheese chowder! It has a nice area to do some cheese and other goodies shopping. Love coming for lunch here!
