Stopped in while visiting our friends in Ileton (30 min drive)for lunch last Saturday. Sat at the bar and watched the Giant's game on multiple tvs playing. We split the following appetizers, Brussel sprouts with bacon, blue cheese and balsamic vinegar. Lumpia with sweet & spicy dipping sauce. Both were excellent & enough for four.Entrée was the Senior burger 1/3 lb,char broiled, brioche bun, delicious. Bloody Mary Spicy to start was one of the most flavorful drinks I've ever had. Great bartender/server showed us how to make it . I'm going to return

Although this is a little restaurant along the river tucked inside of a small town, it brings big eats that are delicious and comforting. They have a great menu offering for dinner with enough options to feed anyones appetite. The staff was friendly and attentive. If you happen to be in the area, or even in the surrounding cities, you should check this restaurant out as it will have you leaving full and happy.

I went here because a friend of mine has just started bartending here. The drive was very nice at 3:30pm down I-5. I loved getting out of town (sacramento) for a few quiet peaceful hours. Everything feels so much more relaxed and the people were good to chat with. Everyone with a down home feel and music was amazing at just the right level so no one had to shout to be heard all the way across the spacious bar. Beautiful granite and wood in a historic looking brick building with large windows. Food was also awesome. I had chicken wings with Asian peanut sauce. The senior burgers looked amazing. I will try some pasta entre next time.Vegetarian options: Salads, Asian noodle salad

If you read my other reviews I'm highly critical of restaurants and businesses. And it's been about three years since I've been here, to the Hood Station, since the start of COVID... not for any particular reason other than we live about 40 miles away. That being said, we went here this evening after a 14 year old's baseball game in Sacramento, on our way home from the game, and to celebrate his 14th birthday. When my wife and I walked in the door there was a band playing and I thought to myself, self, maybe this wasn't such a good idea, and wasn't a good night to come for a birthday celebration. But I couldn't have been more wrong. The band was awesome and they played a mix of country cover songs. The lead singer, Bobby, was incredibly nice and charismatic, and stopped by every table to spend a few minutes to thank everyone for stopping by the restaurant. We had a party of five, and all of us had the filet mignon dinner special, ordered medium. When the food arrived, about 30 minutes after we placed our order, everything was cooked perfectly, with just a hint of pink in the middle. The scalloped potatoes were fantastic and the mixed vegetables were really good too.I think our waiter's name may have been Mark... I thought I heard Bobby at one point call him Mark from the stage, but he was wearing a "Bird," (Larry Bird) basketball jersey and did an absolutely fantastic job of keeping our drinks and beer coming from the bar. Also, the band was awesome!! Bobby, his recently paroled guitarist (joking, hopefully), his awesome bassist, and his school teacher drummer, put on a great performance and really made the evening special for everyone, in my opinion.During one of their sets the band sang happy birthday to a young lady seated at a table near ours, and then during another set they sang happy birthday to our friend's 14 year old son, the baseball player, that Bobby nicknamed, "Little Homie." We had a really nice time and will definitely come back again some day.

I had the mango shrimp salad and it was excellent. My date had the chicken club sandwich and loved it. Julian took great care of us. We will be back!

Food and drinks are always on point! It's a little awkward when you first walk in, because everyone at the bar stares at you, but once you get your food, you'll be glad you came. We've been there several times and everything we tried was amazing!!

y wife and I decided to stop here on the way back to Lodi after a day of cruising around the delta. Jamie was working the bar and she was great. She made my wife one of the best lemon drops she's had and my Lipton tea mule was pretty tasty too. We ordered the Lumpia and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Navy bean soup was on the specials menu. I don't typically like navy beans but Jamie let me sample it. The broth was delicious, but I still don't like navy beans. Overall a good time. A few regulars stopped in before we left and everyone was very pleasant.

The food was really good. The chicken piccata was to die for and the mashed potatoes and veggies were cooked just right. My friend had the chicken marsala which she enjoyed. Another had the salmon which she felt was just a bit dry. However when it came to drinks -The drinks were well done and very tasty but a challenge. Ordering drinks we had to ask at least 3x. It was the first thing i ordered and the last thing i got, i revived it with my lunch that is how long it took. . This area could use some improvement. I feel like the bartender just didn't have any urgency to make our drinks as he was busy talking to his bar clients. I am sure they were prettier than we were, but our money is the same ;)... overall i will go back and check out the bar service at which time i will be happy to update my review.

My garlic steak sandwich was ohh so delicious, but my favorite was their garlic fries. That garlic was fresh! I'm still tasting it 24 hours later. Looks like the server was a bit overwhelmed, however. Think he could have used a bit more help. Nice location, good food, okay service. Update! I was wondering why there were never any servers in sight, why my drink was not refilled (even once), and why service was sooo slow. After using the restroom, I walked past the employee lounge. This, apparently, was where all the real energy of the evening was focused. While I absolutely commend the owner's willingness to provide a comfortable environment for the employees, the gossip was clearly taking priority over customers. I actually walked out regretting leaving such a generous tip. I'll still be back, but if it's clear that my server is more preoccupied with gossip than serving customers, I will not make the mistake of leaving a nice tip again.

It's in Hood and it's real good! Especially the prime rib. The staff is very attentive. The food was out quickly and the drinks good. Definitely try the Brussel Sprouts too!
