Such a beautiful relaxing place!
Absolutely beautiful garden that they let you walk through with fruit trees and some fresh veggies that you can pick and enjoy. Can’t recommend enough.
Wonderful property, great wine, lovely staff. Definitely coming back!
The most beautiful grounds. Sarah gave us a “to go” basket with 2 tastings and picnic blanket so we could enjoy the grounds. The wine was phenomenal and we enjoyed every single tasting. We left with multiple bottles and can’t wait to come back.
Absolutely beautiful grounds! The property is well maintained and stunning! My family and I had a wonderful afternoon strolling the gardens and tasting the 4 wines. Sarah organized the tasting for us and was personable and helpful. We ran into Lorenzo, the gardener, on our walk through the garden and he showed us some little hidden natural huts. Our group had children— we brought a 2 year old and an 8 month old with us and they had a great time. The tasting did not include information about the wines but our group appreciated that because it’s rare to get to freely walk the grounds of a winery.
Pro tip: take some picnic food so you can stop at one of the many tables.
This place is amazing! The location, the grounds, the service, and of course the wine are spectacular. Highly recommend.
Great spot. Awesome vineyard and some amazing olive oil!!!
What an amazing venue for a wedding, truly magical! My daughter got married this past June and we were so beyond pleased with everything from the beautiful venue to the incredible wine. The ceremony took place in the trellised grape arbor which was such an intimate, quaint space, perfect for the ceremony. The cocktail party was in the lush garden area surrounded by all the amazing flowers. It was the ideal backdrop for mingling with guests and perfect for having our champagne tower. One of my very favorite spots is where we ended up having the reception dinner, in the Tuscan garden. The space is so unique and has so much character. We had 160 people however, it felt again very intimate and I loved how it opened up to the large grass area with the dance floor which was so nice to be able to dance under the stars. It was the perfect fairytale wedding.
Campovida was a great destination wedding location. It located in the small, charming town of Hopland. It was so nice to have our guests less than a mile from Campovida, in the two historic hotels in town. In addition, to the hotels there were many vacation rentals in town too.
Lastly, Anna and Gary were so nice to work with, along with their team. Planning a destination wedding can be quite challenging and they were both very accommodating and such a joy with.
We absolutely loved everything about the venue, hotels and town! Won't have changed anything!
Such a beautiful space to wander in the garden and enjoy a glass of superb Rosé!
Gorgeous grounds, great wine, gracious staff. Thank you!

CampovidaRemember tending to the overgrowth and unearthing the soils who would sprout into the gardens we now walk each season.Waking early to bake for visitors; mist still clinging to vines and heat soon breaking through—handing out love by noon.Shared many meals under starlight, clinked glasses of fermentation beneath the moon; witnessed the change in grapes and leaves after sleep.Spreading the bounty of every month, harvesting a home; taking note of the old oak’s growth.Walked gently and laughed loudly. Gathered tomatoes and blackberries, wild flowers and lavender—familiar bees cloaked in pollen.Land who speaks and providesfertile fields of life.
Our first visit was in December of 2009. Anna & Gary introduced us to the Fetzer Estate and shared their vision to bring the property back to life, as it had been unloved for so many years. Anna & Gary’s careful stewardship has brought growth to the property and town of Hopland. Their love and hard work created Campovida, Thatcher Hotel and Stockfarm restaurant.Campovida is a definite must stop on your next trip to Mendocino County. A walk through the garden with a glass of biodynamic wine or bubbles, a tasty meal at Stockfarm, and a spacious room to sleep in at the Thatcher Hotel awaits you. These are truly amazing places to connect, play and rest. You won’t regret visiting or becoming a member of the Campovida Wine Club; there are many wonderful events and offerings throughout the seasons. ?
Beautiful grounds and some really good wines. All the wines are organically grown and the Viognier is consistently a winner year after year.Wine tastings are by appointment only, so you do need to think ahead!
Such a beautiful spot, such amazingly delicious wines, and such warm and inviting hosts. This is a hidden gem, tucked away from the crowds of Napa and Sonoma. I cannot recommend Campovida enough -- if you have the chance to drop by, DO IT! You will not regret your decision!
Campovida is a hidden gem and well worth the trip! Beautiful gardens and property, unique wines, and wonderful staff. You can tell that love and care for the planet is at the heart of what they do.
