We enjoy this place, one of the few smaller, mom and pop eateries featuring comfort food in a good variety. We take time to make the 30 min drive when we are in the mood for good service, reasonable prices and homey atmosphere.

Eat here just about once a week. It is an old school diner and a staple of hughson for probably 50+ years. Come as you are; nothing fancy. Farmers and car enthusiasts love this place. Coffee is always hot and the ice tea is always fresh. Bacon is next level. Same for the awesome gravy. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, pancakes, hash browns, all outstanding. Ambiance? Weathered but very friendly folks. Come as you are. You will not be disappointed in the food.

Food is mediocre at best. The only thing keeping this place in business is the hometown locals. Don't expect anything spectacular if you eat here. Service was slow but server was nice.

Thought we would give Hamilton's a try since they are local. There were 6 of us and nobody got food the way they requested and it was barely warm at the very best. Don't know why locals give it high ratings but I'm sad to say we won't be back. With the cost of eating out these days, it's puzzling to me how ANY restaurant can be content with barely mediocre service and food
