I used to love their cakes because their whipped cream was homemade and the cake flavor delicious which would be understandable why their Prices were higher than other bakeries in the area . Unfortunately they decided to start using "Pastry Pride whipped cream" which is stored bought ? .Cakes are decorated with excessive whipped cream which takes away the flavor of the bread and filling which remains the traditional recipe. I ended up removing all the outside of the cake to be able to eat it. However, this is not true. Our recipes have not changed in the 3 decades we’ve been open. We have NEVER made our whipped cream from scratch. We’ve been a loyal Pastry Pride consumer ever since we began making cakes.Our filing is NOT whipped cream but rather a cream that is made from scratch. We cover our cakes in whipped cream. And the amount of whipped cream the cake is covered is depending on the decor. As you can understand Some decoration requires more cream than others especially with the new trends. Again, I’m sorry you thought we made our whipped cream from scratch, we don’t. Never have.
