I really wanted to give a better review. The food is good. The service was awful. About 5 min after our party of three had been served, the waitress returned with a large group in tow, informed us they would have to move us so they could seat the group, then without waiting for objections grabbed plates and walked off. We had been at a nice outside table overlooking the street. We were shoved unceremoniously into a crappy table in an alley next to a door that was continuously opening and closing. It was appalling.

The food and coffee was quite yummy. We sat outside with our two dogs on their little patio. It was nice sharing a meal in the fresh air. They have nice big umbrellas to protect you from the sun and the falling acorns. All the staff were so so friendly and welcoming.

We got sat right away. It was so busy, so we didn't see our waitress many times ans had to ask for drinks from another server. Our food took quite a while, but it was busy so I get it. Overall, it was great! The food was very basic but so yummy! Omelet, country fried steak and the caramel nut roll. So good.

One of the best breakfast spots in Idyllwild. You can just tell it is a local favorite! We have eaten here and have gotten food to go many times. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu!
Vegetarian options: Noticed some good looking vegetarian dishes while browsing the menu. It would also be easy to make a lot of their dishes vegetarian.

Food takes forever to serve, ordered a waffle with bacon both burnt by the time it was served. Waitress never stopped to refill, and then when it came time for the check, both Waitresses were sitting talking. We'll never go back.

I've been to Idyllwild three times, and the Red Kettle always had a huge line. This morning we decided to have breakfast there no matter what. It is 100% worth waiting for. The eggs florentine is to die for. That hollandaise is amazing.
Great casual diner. The service was prompt and friendly. My burger was good but the beef could have been more flavorful. Great thick, hot fries.

The food is great. It does get very crowded because It's a good place. The staff a friendly and they try their best to get everyone seated and served. It's very tight because is a small space, so it feels like family style kind of place, where everyone seats at the same table. They also have patio seating area.
