One of two very good taco trucks in Independence. Thanks to being up in the mountains all day, we were able to try both of them the same day. Glenn’s was really good. I had standard carne asada tacos, and they were great. Salsa was good, Glenn’s has afternoon shade, and covered dining available.

We stopped by to grab some lunch at the taco truck. True to form, we loved the food. It’s a classic food truck that is located on a former gas station site on the main drag, highway 395.
We ordered three street tacos with carne adobada and a wet burrito with carne asada and rice. We had an option of red or green sauce, but we asked for half and half to get the flavors of each.
Both dishes were delicious. The adobada was excellent. Very authentic Mexican styles. We would be happy to visit again in the future.
They have two little windows that offer the condiments and utensils.
While they have a large canvas tent with dining space, we opted for the open air shade tables because it offered the breeze for comfort on a hot day. Being a busy highway, it’s a little noisy. Charming in its own way.

This place is great. For starters the scenic backgrounds never fail, but that's just the bonus. The food and service are both also independently remarkable.
I had the lengua, adobada, chorizo, and pollo, and damn that was good. All of the meats were very good on their own, as were the salsas, but quite unusually for taquerias I've eaten at, everything tasted very home-made. There's a difference between recipes and chefs that are oriented at sensationalism, pulling crowds, and the restaurant experience, and recipes and chefs that are confident and strong in the quality of the heart/soul of the food. Both can be exceptional; this food is the latter 🌮🤤🌮, and it was a rare experience for sure. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area.
The family working the truck was also so nice.

Independence doesn’t have a lot of options, but they don’t need many with this truck in town! Delicious asada wet burrito and all the toppings!

Muy bueno! Tasty, excellent carne asada tacos for $3 each. The Jamaica drink was very refreshing, not too sweet. We’ve been driving for 5 hours and I had a craving for tacos. It’s Sunday at 4:30, and they were open!

Excellent roadside establishment! Surf and turf daily special is enough to get me back next time I’m in the area.
We arrived in town and checked into our room for the night. The Hotel manager recommended we walk to the Taco Truck. We followed our noses and found Glenn’s. I tried the Chicken Mulita and a Cheese enchilada, my Husband had the Carne Asada Super Burrito. The salsa selection and the available add on items really added to the choices. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend Glenn's to others and will return on our next visit to Independence. We are from the San Jose area.
Thanks to the Staff for the great meal and experience
delicious and convenient
10/10 food every time and a very nice family that runs it
What a fantastic authentic food establishment. Very clean, great portions and prices, fantastic food. We stpped in and both had a burrito and it was as good as any I have ever eaten and much better than most. Their son Isaac (about 11 yrs old -best guess) was working and taking orders which was an extra nice touch. He had better hospitality manners than many waiters and waitresses in fine dining establishments I have eaten in. 5+ out of 5 stars.
