This place is probably the healthiest spot to eat in Isla Vista & it’s bomb! Consistently craving it. The drinks are great too. Good quality food and lots of flavor - it’s basically a Mediterranean chipotle. The Moroccan hot sauce is HOT but delish. They just lowered their prices too. So worth

Nice patio on the street in Isla Vista. The inside is clean and there is a bar for seating at the window. We got so much food, a $16 bowl was easily two meals for me.

The monitor right before entering the establishment says ORDER HERE. So we did and took a seat in the patio. Waited about 10-15 minutes when I realized patrons were coming out with their food in hand so, I decided to check in on my order. Inside there were a few people placing orders and a few others in line to pay. When I was addressed I asked about my order and at the same time I see an employee pulling a receipt from the wall and starts to work on it-turns out it’s my order. When I asked why my order wasn’t given a timely attention I was told because I ordered from the monitor. I was told the walk-ins take priority. My question, WHY? Why aren’t orders prepared as they come in? This information was emphasized by another male employee that came to explain to me your order will take longer if you order from the monitor. Apparently, they receive the order 5 minutes after it’s placed and their instructions are to prepare those orders after all the orders placed inside are taken care of. How does this make any sense? -The receipt was nasty, full of food stains -2 stars because the food does take good and the crispy chicken was hot -larger portions because my bowl had a lot of greens and small toppings on top -the Kalamata olives portion was as big as my sharwana chicken Even if I were from this area I wouldn’t be returning. There should be a sign that says to order at the counter if you’d like faster service next to the monitor’s sign that say ORDER HERE. This food experience was not worth it.

Food is pretty tasty, but it's too expensive. Paid $23.50 for bowl with feta cheese (extra $) and grilled veggies (extra $) + a small bottle of tea because the soda machine was broken + a 10% tip which was the lowest option on the touchscreen without typing in 0, which feels coercive. Fix the soda machine, remove the tip screen, and don't upsell me on a tablespoon of feta cheese, and I would give 5 stars.

I absolutely loved my experience at Hummus Republic in Isla Vista! From the moment I walked in, the staff was so welcoming and friendly — they really made me feel like a valued guest. The service was fast, everything was super clean, and the whole vibe of the place was upbeat and inviting.
The food? Incredible. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made just the way I like it. I built my own bowl and was so impressed by how many options they had — delicious proteins, amazing sauces, and fresh toppings galore. It’s healthy, filling, and honestly addicting in the best way.
This is definitely my new go-to spot in IV. If you’re looking for something tasty, nutritious, and made with care, Hummus Republic is the place. Highly recommend!

Tried to redeem my free wrap from here and they refused to give it to me. The worker told me that I could only redeem it on Saturdays and Sundays, and there is absolutely no sign where it says that, even on the app. Such a scam to get people to buy a bowl thinking it'll be free, don't even bother walking into this grimy establishment. Not to mention the ward of flies you have to wade through in order to get in.
