Oakberry Acai Bowls & Smoothies | Isla Vista

Hmmm wanted to love this place as I love non-blended Açaí. The problem? My bowl was basically a slurpee! I see one other review had this problem, I wonder if their freezer isn’t cold enough?

Today we visited your store. Someone was standing at the entrance smoking weed.We entered the store to buy acai for our little daughters .To our surprise, the women who was standing and smoking outside came in and turned out to be working there.Not all of us are drug users!! Not all of us are interested in receiving food prepared seconds after Someone smoked. We ,of course will not return to your place until you learn to respect the health of your costumers.It is unacceptable for someone to smoke and second later,when the store smells of drugs,they touch the food intended for young girls

I was over the moon this morning when I was trying to decide where to go for a morning açai bowl. OakBerry‘s newly opened location in Isla Vista popped up in my search results. Apparently they opened this past weekend on Saturday. I wouldn’t have known based on how nicely set up the store was.The employee and daughter Ana greeted me. She helped me decide what toppings I wanted on my Classic bowl; even though toppings are unlimited. I almost always get the same items because I know what I’ve enjoyed (nido, cashews, peanut butter, blueberries, bananas, and honey). The space is decorated all cute with swinging chairs that make a perfect Instagram photo. Although there are many açai places in town, (Backyard Bowls, Blenders, CAJÉ, etc.), OakBerry is always on the top of my list. Coffee beverages are soon to come once they’ve perfected everything. Ben-vindo.

I do not recommend this place at all lol. Service was alright, very stingy with the ingredients… nasty taste. I was actually looking forward to eating at this place but I do not recommend. Save your $$$
