I visited the location on 11.22.23. It's an old baitshop right off 160, which was great. My group entered and looked at the live bait menu searching for Mudsuckers, which were priced at $3.75ea. One of my companions noticed a larger mudsucker and commented on good sized mudsuckers, to which the shopkeeper said those were considered "jumbo mudsuckers" and were $5.00ea. Upon noticing a couple of really nice mudsuckers, the shopkeeper said that those were considered "super jumbo mudsuckers" and wanted $7.00ea. It felt like he was being a crook since his menu only posted mudsuckers at $3.75ea. I ended up buying 3 "jumbo" and 6 standard. I also bought a 1/2 dozen on bloodworms. Upon checking them in my truck before we hit the water, 2 were clearly dead and smelled like they had been dead a while. I took them back in and had them replaced.I was very disappointed with the whole transaction. Total transaction - $64.00Aside from that, the mudsuckers were healthy, and the bloodworms were good sized.

"Those are super jumbo, cost extra.." and the price board has a single price for mud suckers. Prices kept going up every time another was pointed out. I'll stick to Haps in Rio Vista.

Favorite (and only) place to get crawfish in NoCal. I've been driving here from Peninsula a few times a year, for nearly a decade, to get 20-40lbs of Crawfish for birthday and Mardi Gras parties and they always have what I called ahead to order, weighed and ready for me when I get there. Always lively, rarely have many dead. I haven't ever managed to buy when they have the Louisiana Reds, but the Cali Blues are plenty delicious, and huge, and they're all red after they come out of the pot. They carry the two best LA brands of crab boil, too, so get it here.
