Danae's Desserts is a hidden gem in Lake County, offering superb pastries that rival those found in Napa Valley. The bakery's berry tarts, apple tart, and cakes are standouts, with fresh flavors and rich textures. The danishes are also top-notch, although the eclairs could use some improvement. The pies, including the Dutch apple pie, are a highlight, and the French bread is perfect. The croissants are so good that they've impressed even a Paris-traveling connoisseur.
