I hardly post a review but I got to for this bakery. First of all let me preface with I thought that bouchon in Yountville had the best parties but let's just say Danaes has then beat by a mile. Honestly the quality of these pastries, though pricey, is superb. This bakery could easily be in the Napa valley and it's hidden here in lake county. I just bought today as I do anytime I can stop by and their berry tarts are amazing. You can taste the fresh berries and the texture on the tart. The apple tart is just as good. I tried a cake she described as kind of like a pound cake. I can only describe it as the richest flavor that melted in my mouth. When I hold it it feels heavy in my hand. So buttery and good. Their danishes are top flavor too. I tried the banana muffin and it's good but it could be a little more moist to make it perfect. Also the eclairs? are okish some work needed to prefect that. . But overall 90% of the pastries are 5 star and I try one of each every time I stop by. Honestly I may risk becoming diabetic just to have more of Danaes pastries. P.s. only thing I wish is they were open more days of the week

The best pies around! We had the Dutch apple pie for Thanksgiving and it's the best we've ever had! She makes some other incredible deserts you must try!

Just wow! Danae's Desserts are worth a drive to Kelseyville. Her pastries are sophisticated, and her French bread is perfect. I brought her a special order of her croissants to a friend who travels to Paris regularly, and she thought they were the best croissant she had ever had. She does sell out, but you can also find a smaller selection at the local farmer's markets in Middletown and Kelseyville. We are lucky to have her in Lake County.

New bakery in Kelseyville across the way from Riviera Foods. A handful of parking spaces to quickly grab some breakfast pastries! A quaint, cute shop with a creative and adorable whisk decor hanging as you walk inside with green and white walls and wallpaper. The windows have baking decor stickers that add even more cuteness to the original design. The owner is very sweet, helpful, and their green shirts matched the walls perfectly. A brick and mortar space to pair with her lovely wooden "food truck" that has been seen at local farmer's markets. Bought the lime tart once and it had graham cracker crust. There are weekly specials, coffee, and about 8-10 items to choose from on their menu. Today, I picked up the Sticky Bun, and it was delicious. It was flaky with pecans, lots of yummy caramel, and a soft interior. Would have that again with my morning latte. The Strawberry Entremet was partially frozen, I didn't know what to expect. Had it later on once it defrosted and it's super yummy but I love any baked goods with berries. The crust on the bottom reminded me of pop-tarts with the jam, but gourmet. The vanilla cake, cream, and the fresh strawberries all paired well and was a great dessert. Got my husband the Pain Au Chocolat.A good addition for Lake County.
