Decent diner but the 3 egg omelette seemed like a 1.5 egg omelette and the gravy didn't have much taste. Service was pleasant enough but it seems like there were a lot of employees standing around and talking while one server was running around doing everything.

Just a good old country diner with cheerful service and comfort food. I'd eat here every day if I lived here.

Food was delicious, their fries are nicely seasoned and crispy. Open faced steak sandwich was cooked as requested and our server Sandy was so sweet

No Hard Feeling

For a place that seems to have been around since the turn of the century, I expected a bit more. I'm new to the area and have tried several spots throughout the valley, and unfortunately, this one just didn’t stand out. The food was below average, the service felt uninspired, and the décor could definitely use an update. It's not somewhere I see myself returning to anytime soon.

We chose Cheryl’s Diner in Kernville during our honeymoon after seeing good reviews on Google. From the moment we walked in, we felt like a burden. No greeting, no smile, not even a good morning from the first two waitresses. One of them asked a question and walked off before we could answer. It was confusing and uncomfortable. The third waitress finally took our order, and while we appreciated that, the service still lacked warmth. The food was good, but the suggested tip started at 25%, which didn’t match how we were treated. We drove over 220 miles through the mountain pass to get there and were excited to try the place. Glad we gave the food a shot, but not sure we’d return.

Lovely American diner, food and the service was great. We both had burgers and to think the night before we had burgers in Las Vegas Gordon Ramsay on the strip, this was over half the price and tasted better!!! Local beer was also really good!!

The place is nice, the server was friendly. The food was ok, omelet was not fully cooked so it had that slimy egg white. The steak was chewy. The fries and ranch were good.

We try to stop here for lunch whenever we are in the area!
