I'm just finishing my lunch right this second. The food and service here is always great. Everything is good but I always get the hot wings. Nobody does it better. Looking out the window is a beautiful Mountain View. They make their own beer here hence the name. Try it and see for yourself or come back again soon if it's been a while. You'll thank me for the heads up.

Checked out the brewing company during a first time visit to Kernville. Very fun space, really friendly staff and efficient. There are a lot of beers to choose from and many that you can purchase and take away. The flights come in a great, heavy, canoe shaped stand. Especially liked the Red and the Stout, but you'll find something that suits your taste. In regards to food, there was a relatively extensive "bar food" menu. The cheese curds were a nice starter. We had fish tacos (in flour?? tortillas), tri tip steak sandwich (kinda dry - ask for some kind of sauce for it), and portobello pita (this was great, but waaay too much balsamic reduction sauce on it - made it so sweet and goey - I'd ask for it on the side next time). Waffle fries are always yummy and there are many options on the appetizer menu if you like them loaded. All in all, had a nice visit and suggest checking it out.

Excellent service staff is very accommodating ...yummy fried food like waffle fries, fish & chips, chicken popper wrap is what I ordered trying to be healthy but this probably ain't it but it's mighty delicious. I enjoy the atmosphere and the beer is top notch in town IPAs Local vibes on the real.

I had the Isabella beer, very nice!Parking: It was easy to parkKid-friendliness: There were kids there too

They charge $2 for portobello mushroom to substitute for beef even though mushroom is a far less expensive ingredient. Then when we ordered our 5 year old a FOURTEEN DOLLAR burger because they don’t have a kids burger and took everything off of it they had the audacity to charge us $1 for adding cheese. I won’t be returning for these two reasons. Nickle and diming.

Ordered take-out, didn't get a chance to see the inside. Looked nice and cool to hang out in. They brew their own beer, yum. We ordered their bacon cheeseburger and the bleau cheese burger, both were perfectly seasoned, thick and juicy, along with plenty of fresh, lightly salted waffle fries. So, so good! Customer service over the phone was very helpful and polite. We will definitely come back when in town again.

Best service at a restaurant in a long while. Amy was the bees knees! Food was great with the ambiance to go with it.

Must stop spot whenever we come to Kernville!! This time we just had beers on the back patio, but we did grab a few growlers to go. Until next time...

Every year in the middle of February, my husband and I visit Kernville, CA, to attend the annual celebration of Whiskey Flats. This year, we were joined by our two sons, their families, and one of my granddaughters, who turned 21 in October 2023. My two sons, boys being boys, decided we needed to take their newly 21-year-old niece to the Kern River Brewing Company (KRBC) to have her first beer. After all, if she has a beer, the first beer should be a fresh, quality, and great-tasting beer, right? Besides, she is with her two uncles, and they will take care of her. During Whiskey Flat Days, Kernville, CA, becomes exceptionally crowded. Therefore, the restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, and breweries are overflowing with people, and most do not take reservations. We arrived around 7 pm and were either extremely lucky or the KRBC was well-prepared and staffed for the crowd (I am going with the latter). We were seated as we walked through the doors, and I was amazed at how clean the tables, the floors, the counters, the windows, and the vents were. I even checked the ladies' restrooms before we left for cleanliness, and by darn, KRBC passed with flying colors! A live band, "The Rivals," played for our entertainment; our 3, 5, and 7-year-olds preferred dancing over eating. We convinced the three of them to eat the delicious mac and cheese with a hint of garlic while the band took a break. Of course, the bribery of ice cream with chocolate syrup helped the little ones eat their dinner, also. The boys ordered their niece a sampler tray of beer; it has a cute little name, but I don't remember what it was called; it came with four small glasses of different beers ranging from lite to dark. My granddaughter took a sip of each beer, and then, of course, her uncles wanted a sip (or should I say a gulp) and then onto the next beer lol. Pretty much all of my granddaughter's first beer-drinking experience was four little sips, lol. She didn't like the beer anyway, so she says! However, both of her uncles bought a growler. The bill for dinner for 2 children - mac and cheese; 1 child - hotdog; 2 adults - strawberry chicken wrap; 1 adult - French dip; 2 adults - Backyard Burgers 1 adult - chicken and tots, drinks 1 sampler of 4 beers, 6 IPA's = $203.57 + tip Overall, we enjoyed every bite and every sip. We were waited on promptly by a young lady with a pleasant smile and attitude; we didn't feel rushed or neglected; everything this evening was beautiful.
