Worst place ive been to in a VERY long time. After visiting trees of mystery with my family we went here to eat before we continued on our trip up the coast. We were greated with rude waitresses. You order at the counter (which is fine). The burgers and sandwhiches we got were the worst ive probably ever had along with everyone else and they were an average of 25-27 follars a piece. When we went up to pay they diddnt even say thank you or say a word. Food was disgusting we diddnt even end up eating the meals and the service was terrible. Will not be back and i suggest you continue up the road a few minutes where there is many more options. Dont waste your time and money like we did.

Terrific food. Especially, the clam chowder soup and the Blackberry cobbler for dessert! The dining room was exceptionally fun with its wall murals and underwater section that was hilarious in its perspective. Great for all ages and a nice lunch after walking the Trees of Mystery Park first thing that morning. A must stop for lunch.

The place looks clean and pleasant enough to sit in. They have high chairs and menus for kids. However, nobody in our party liked their food, young or adult.
Kid-friendliness: They have a high chair and menu for kids. The kids didn't like the food though.

Celiac and Gluten sensitivity needs beware. I ordered a sandwich with gluten free bread and fries- I was excited to see options I could have. When the food was brought out I was told the fries were made with other breaded things, that the bread was made in the toaster with gluten bread, and that it’s just the way they do it. Why even offer it if it isn’t made correctly and has cross contamination? The server was nice in offering a side salad, but I just can’t imagine how many people have left this place sick. On top of that, there was a hair in my food and we waited forever to even place an order.
I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but this is a health concern for many.

The server threw our coffee down so fast fast it spilled all over the table and she just walked away without apologizing or cleaning it up. The pancakes were both burned and raw inside. The atmosphere is sad. There are plastic flowers all over the ceiling and therefore the entire restaurant smells like musty plastic.

I ordered fried mushrooms as they were the only unique thing on the menu, and boy, was that a mistake. The mushrooms were fried alright but frozen in the center. They looked good on the outside but were cold, watery, and meaty on the inside. For some reason, this really grossed me out, and I threw up in the bathroom. To this day, mushrooms are ruined for me.

We stopped in after exploring the trees of mystery. Restaurant was pretty clean. Service was super friendly and prompt. I enjoyed my BBQ burger as well. So not bad at all if you’re passing through and hungry.

We almost skipped this place because of some negative reviews, but we had a really good experience here. Our server was quick and very friendly, and all the food was good. The hamburgers were actually really good, with a nice grilled flavor. The decor is fun, especially with little kids. All in all, this is exactly what we wanted after a long morning at the Trees of Mystery, which was also pretty great.
Kid-friendliness: Fun decor, good kids menu, no charge for extra plate to share with a little one.

This is a 5 STAR experience and THE place to stop to grab a meal while in the redwoods. It's right across from the Trees of Mystery redwood center, with plenty of parking and can accommodate a crowd or large group. We were skeptical because of some negative reviews, and they were simply not our experience at all. In fact, we plan to return again in our Redwood National Park travels. Our waitress was so helpful, attentive, and fun to chat with. We ordered several different omelettes, sausage, and pancakes for breakfast. The hash browns that came with our omelettes were especially tasty and our breakfasts were all delicious. Not a single piece of food leftover on anyone's plate. We had kids with us and can rarely say that after a meal out. We loved the coffee and they kept the refills coming. Ingredients were all fresh and quality. Food came quickly, and our server checked in many times. She even wrote us out directions for the many sites and gave us advice on how to pick and choose from so many things to see here. I highly recommend a visit to the Forest Cafe. Really hit the spot and also provides a great atmosphere with its thematic and colorful decor.

Tourist trap,Dirty cafeteria style dining. My grilled sandwich was soaked in dirty flattop residue and grease. Straight nasty and expensive prices.
Parking: Gross food, dirty cafeteria, questionable food violations but plenty of free parking.
