Came here for dinner on our 29th wedding anniversary. Recommend making reservations as it fills up pretty quick. I guesstimate it’s about a 10 minute drive from Highway 101 (probably use your GPS to be certain) What a neat looking place! It feels like one of the old steak houses we used to go to when I was growing up-lots of wood paneling and the most awesome tile floors! See my photos - the tile work is absolutely incredible. First, we ordered margaritas, one of their specialties. Meal: I got the ling cod which was the ‘catch of the day’ and my husband got the ribeye steak, both with a dinner salad, baked potatoes, homemade rolls and mushroom & pineapple skewers. Pretty spartan plating-no vegetables or even a bit of parsley, even the margarita was white (see photo) but color on the plate doesn’t guarantee it’s taste. AND it was DELICIOUS! My ling cod was perfectly grilled, one minute less it would have been underdone, so ask if you like it cooked a bit more. My husband’s rib eye was truly the most tender steak I’ve tasted in literal years. I’ll def get that next time. Finally there is a scoop of vanilla or Orange sherbet for dessert. It was perfect-loved the service, the surroundings and the food. Happy Anniversary to us ;)

This place has the best meat around. If your into beef, pork, or chicken and love barbecued food, then this place is for you. A little pricey yes, but this is the only place around that has the meat menu of say an Outback, Texas Roadhouse, or even an old school Cattlemans! If your passing through or even a close by local, you have to check this place out!

Excellent food, especially the ribs. Service is a bit slow but they are usually pretty busy. It's cold in there though. Bring a sweater.

Very delicious food! Ordered 3 takeout meals of 1/2 chicken, potatoes, rolls, salads and a side of mushrooms. All the meals were packed well with all the condiments(dressing, sour cream, butter, etc.) it was a generous portion of chicken and large baked potatoes. Person taking phone order was friendly and being able to take away was a nice option.

Call ahead for a reservation to make sure you are able to get the amazing food this place serves! My last visit was for a birthday party and on top of the amazing food the staff went above and beyond to sing happy birthday to the person we celebrated with. Can't wait to go back again!

We were directed here by locals on Father's day as we traveled thru from michigan. Upon arrival we learned reservations are required and the evening was full, as others learned as well. Susan the owner/host decided to sit us in the bar which she doesn't normally do. We had a wonderful evening of conversation with Susan who then invited us to smell the rose gardens around the lodge. Many were very old and had aromas we had not experienced. Inside were exquisite examples of wood and ceramic craftsmanship of the 1960's. Our ribeye steaks were the best we have ever tasted. Perfectly grilled to medium rare. And a special thank you to Mary Dawn who on her second day did an excellent job serving us. Thank you for a special evening to the entire staff who provided us with a great night out.
My husband and I found this little gem of a restaurant from locals pointing us in the right direction. Susan, the owner, was superb at getting us in without a reservation on Father's Day. Mary Dawn, the bartender, served us some yummy drinks while we waited for our rib eye dinners to arrive. They were the best rib eyes we have ever had. Great staff, food and atmosphere. Don't miss this stop.

We always enjoy ourselves when we visit the Steelhead Lodge. The food is always fantastic and the staff is always friendly. This time there was live music. A nice addition, he was very good! And we noticed the landscape has been improved with more plants, beautiful handmade benches, a Cornhole Game, and an outdoor table if you want to eat outdoors. We loved the new upgrades.

Had the steak dinner and it was great. We liked it so well we went two nights in a row on our trip to the Redwoods. Service was fast and very friendly. Would definitely come back again when I'm in the area.
