Wonderful experience! We’ve been itching to go to Big Sur River Inn but didn’t want to make the drive, and we found this place to be a great alternative. It has a very similar vibe — although you can’t put your feet in the water, there’s a pergola where you can sit and listen to the tranquil sounds of the river while enjoying a drink. The food was great, the staff were friendly, and the bread pudding was delish! We’ll absolutely be visiting this place again!

What a wonderful, scenic way to enjoy the countryside of California's Sierra Nevada foothills. Eat at a classic, riverside diner along the beautiful Stanislaus River. Enjoying lunch at The River’s Edge this weekend was the perfect way to relax and recharge. The weather was beautiful—warm with a gentle breeze—and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better.
