The table they gave me to seat was too small.
Historical plaque inscription:

Lt. Charles C. Zwick
Dec. 18, 1921 - Nov. 12, 1943
Leland and Charles were well known in the Montrose community; growing up together, their brotherly love was unbreakable. They received their commissions in the U.S. Army Air Corps at the same time and were stationed near each other at bases located in the Mojave Desert. In their respective flying squadrons, each was acknowledged as a powerful leader. They died separately in plane crashes, thirty four days apart, while training at Lomita Air Strip in Southern California.
Note:
The small retail/office building was named for the Zwick family, who once had their home on this site. The two sons of the Zwick family joined the Army Air Corps during WWII, and became flight instructors in the same unit. In 1943, both sons died in training accidents within a month of each other at Lomita Air Strip, near Palos Verdes, south of Los Angeles.
The old Zwick family house was torn down in the early 1970s. The builder, John Bluff, who was also a pilot, named the building Zwick’s Plaza in honor of the Zwick family. In a final tribute, Mr. Bluff found the handprints the Zwick boys had left in cement when they were very young, and lovingly placed them in front of the fountain in the courtyard.
The garden is lovely. We had a quiet delicious lunch.
Not only was the service nonexistent, but the hostess lady was particularly rude, which significantly detracted from the overall experience.
They even overcharged my credit card beyond the authorized amount. I advise others to review their receipts and statements carefully.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Food and drinks were great. Service was good, until we left and saw additional charges to our bill! My mom had to make, not one, not two, but three phone calls due to the error made on the server's end for charging another tables meal onto our CC! Then when he removed the other table's charge, he included the incorrect tip amount. This is your reminder, to always save your copy of the receipt! [ *please note that my rating is based on primarily the food ].
AMBIANCE: Indoor and outdoor patio seating available. We sat indoor for their lunch service, and noise level was minimal. Temps indoor was freezing cold. Outdoor patio consisted of tables that were very close together, and some even on the slope. They had live music on Sunday, which was very nice!
DOG FRIENDLY: Dogs allowed, but outdoor seating only.

ORDERED (dined April '25):
tapas! so this is meant to be shared! would def recommend coming with 4+ppl to try more dishes.
[4/5] pulp de la casa (octopus): the flavors were ok. octopus was tender.
[4/5] croquetas de jamon y pollo: these were ok as well, but no wow factor for me.
[4/5] casa cordoba paella (porl, duck and chicken): the meat were a bit on the dry side for me, but still good.
[4/5] arroz negro paella: seafood was tender
[5/5] pintxo de vientre de cerdo: these were amazing!
[5/5] aceitunas casa cordoba signature house olive: can't go wrong with this!
SERVICE: Service was good. When the errors were made to the CC, that was a bit disappointing and frustrating.
PRICE: ~ $60pp, depending if you get alcoholic drinks.
PARKING: Street parking

Absolutely terrible service. I don’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant and felt this way.
I had a reservation with them and weeks prior I reached out to them on instagram page. It was a quick question regarding the event booked for. I was left on read. 5 days after that, their restaurant’s page was snooping and looking at all my stories. I do not follow that page or vice versa. I found that very odd and weird. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the owner behind it.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my visit to this restaurant was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. From start to finish, the service was incredibly poor and unprofessional. First, the wait times were just ridiculous — we waited far too long to be seated, then even longer just to place an order. And when the food finally arrived, getting the check took just as long. The whole process felt disorganized and frustrating. The service itself was worse than the wait. I was trying to place a few orders and asked the server how many pieces came in each portion, just trying to gauge how much food we needed. I paused for maybe 10 seconds to look at the menu again, and without saying a word, the server walked off. No explanation, no help — just left. A few minutes later, a dish we never officially confirmed showed up at the table. When I politely asked him why he walked away like that, he snapped back saying, “I have 10 tables to attend, I can’t be here all day” That tone and attitude were completely uncalled for and disrespectful. The rest of the service didn’t improve either. No one took our menus after ordering, no one checked on us, and it felt like we were being actively ignored. What bothered me even more was how differently we were treated compared to the rest of the restaurant. While we were being dismissed and ignored, the same server and others were chatting, smiling, and checking in regularly with other tables. It felt personal. I don’t know if it was because I’m a young person, but if that’s the reason, it’s incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. As for the food — also underwhelming. The croquetas we ordered were bland and not well-prepared. The mariscos tasted okay, but the portion was small for the price. As a Spanish person, I can confidently say that both the quality and quantity of the food don’t come close to what you’d get in Spain. If you’re looking for an authentic Spanish dining experience, this is not the place to go in Los Angeles area. I definitely won’t be coming back and I can’t recommend it to others either.
muy buen servicio, y buen ambiente.

This place was a huge disappointment. While we were eating, a live mouse was running around the dining area, which completely ruined the experience. The service was equally bad—our server took forever to come to our table. As for the food, it was overpriced for what we got and tasted awful. We ordered a mushroom appetizer for $15, but the portion was so tiny, it wasn’t even enough for two people to share. The French fries were another letdown—just a small serving that cost $14, half-size of a typical fast-food portion. We also ordered a seafood and rice dish, which was supposed to be a large meal for two. The portion was tiny, the rice was burnt, and the seafood smelled and tasted spoiled. The only redeeming feature was the interior design and the waterfall on the patio, but even that couldn’t make up for the mouse issue. To make matters worse, the waitress didn’t even apologize or address the mouse situation at all. I’ll definitely be filing a complaint with the health and food department.

Waiters here need to be trained in professionalism. A couple of the waiters interjected on a conversation I was having with my dining mate. A cheap shot at flirting is not appreciated.

Amazing food, and even better experience.
Food was delicious. We got the salmon plate, shrimp tapa, squid, roasted vegetables. All were great! Drink was also well received.
The host, a nice blonde young lady, was amazing. She got us in without a reservation, and made us feel like family. She was really talented at keeping the restaurant flowing, and everyone happy.
The servers were engaging, proactive, and prompt.
Food came fast, and hot. And was very tasty, and clean in terms of prep and ingredients. The food was rich and light!
Plenty of free parking lots around Montrose. Some street side metered parking.
We lucked into a flamenco show. It was stunning.
The outdoor patio was like transporting to a whole new world. Very cool!
Dog and kid friendly. Reco making a res to have a smooth in and out!
Vegetarian options: Handful of options. We loved our roasted veg dish. And the artichoke that came with the salmon plate!
Dietary restrictions: Helpful options
Parking: Typical Montrose parking; free lots throughout, and metered curb side parking
Kid-friendliness: Yes! And dog friendly!
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes! But a bit of time may be needed to access all sections of the property.

5 of us dined here last Saturday; food and service were mediocre. They charged us automatic 20% gratuity for the service which I don't understand. Not really happy what I paid for
