Furai Chicken in La Crescenta was not a bad experience but also not a good one. I got the Furai Chicken Sandwich, which came with some coleslaw and a side of fries (I got the fries seasoned with garlic parmesan). The quality of the sandwich was pretty decent, although a bit more greasy than expected. The fries, unfortunately, were a major let down as they were soggy and not fully fried. I’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened up in our foothill area. So happy I finally went today. Prices are moderate and very affordable. I tried two flavors of the chicken, sweet and spicy, and soy garlic. For my flavor palate really enjoyed the soy garlic. The kimchi fried rice and corn cheese were also very good.
This was some of the crispiest, yet juiciest chicken we‘ve had. The sweet-spicy sauce was well balanced and delicious, the veggies nice and crisp. Loved the pickles on the side! We want to come back and try some of the other flavors. Very pleasant and accommodating service as well.
