We are fans of this coffee shop, but for me it is mostly due to the location! We are not in this area often, but whenever we are nearby we make a stop over here. I have only been here twice, but it's now a situation where we need to stop by when we come this way. I remember enjoying my drink on my last visit, I believe I probably ordered a lavender latte. This time I tried the matcha latte, blue hummingbird style with spirulina. I have come to the conclusion that I am not really a fan of matcha with added vanilla or syrup. I like it straight and bitter. So, that was a bit sweet but the drink was cute. Service is A-OK. It was slow this last time. However, the location makes this place a gem. Check out the business photos. I could seriously relax here all the time if I was nearby.

Great spot. Super cute, friendly staff, local food prep. Run by hummingbird coffee. I love it here!

Canyon Coffee is a fantastic little spot on top of a hill. We like to ride our bikes in this area and would take a coffee break here. Takes a bit of pedaling power to make your way up the hill but if you have a few horse power to help take you up, its no problem. Canyon Coffee really earns its starts from the super chill and relaxing atmosphere. Nice outdoor seating and large grassy patch overlooking the canyon - fantastic! Great place to spend a nice weekend morning. The coffee? It was ok. Nothing to brag about but nothing to ding either. Pairs well with their pastries. I recommend this place for a good cup of coffee with pastries while enjoying a nice relaxing morning.

Good coffee in a beautiful coffee shop. The surrounding view is amazing. The service was ok. I wish there was another worker there. One person manning a coffee shop must be challenging.

Would I go back? Yes. The ambiance was very relaxing and I could picture myself spending a long day of studying / office hours here. Wonderful indoor and outdoor seating options. Unfortunately, ordered the matcha with almond milk and I could only taste the almond milk. I'll try a coffee next time. The bowls were delicious though and service was quick.

There aren't many small business coffee shops nearby so when I discovered Canyon Coffee I had to stop by. I arrived there close to closing time and the employee working was both friendly and fast at making the drinks. I tried their classic blue hummingbird latte and it was both tasty and aesthetically pleasing. There's a nice outdoor seating area that's perfect for working from home, sitting and reading, or catching up with friends. The one downfall (not really the coffee shop's fault) is that there isn't a ton of parking near the coffee shop if you're driving but you can easily find parking in the neighborhood and walk over. Overall, I highly recommend trying this coffee shop!

SUCH a cute spot for coffee. We don't have a lot of great coffee shops in Ladera so I gave Canyon Coffee a try when I met up with a friend. The espresso is delicious, and their signature latte was amazing. Not too sweet, but very decadent. The ambience was lovely, sitting right over a small canyon and a beautiful outdoor seating area. The drinks were a little on the pricey side, but such is life when you are having fancy coffee. I didn't try the pastries or food but it all looked yummy too. Definitely planning to go back.

Super cute retreat for amazing coffee, great patios to wander, and super tasty food that is all locally sourced. A great place to take in any morning at a slower pace.

I finally got to come check out Canyon Coffee and try Blue Hummingbird. Thank you to the staff for your hospitality and free drinks!Culture:This is a neighborhood shop for a planned community. The target market are the residents that live in the development as there are no other coffee shops nearby. There is fantastic workspace available indoors and outdoors and its almost exclusive since the shop is secluded from town. The design and architecture is beautiful and state of the art.Coffee:This was my first time tasting Blue Hummingbird, roasted in Irvine CA. Cold Brew was on point, loved the fruity notes and strong bite. Full body, really enjoyed this cold brew.Geisha Costa Rica Drip: delicious fruity notes with a full body. i would not recommend to a basic "Starbucks Coffee" person, but a coffee connoisseur would enjoy this single origin.Espresso: a bit bitter by itself. The staff may need some further training in pulling shots, not sure if this is an automatic/ manual machine. However, seems like most customers are drinking iced lattes and matcha here.Food:I was unable to taste the food, but the food menu seems really yummy. Simple is better and they got the memo. Curious about the breakfast burrito. The shop is under its second ownership with "Blue Hummingbird" after being owned by the association. I hope that they get enough business from the local neighborhood so they can stay in business as it seems like due to the location they have a limited clientele. Also, PSA: parking here is really bad.

Stumbled on this little coffee shop nestled in a neighborhood in Rancho Mission viejo. Súper cool vibe inside with lots of seating. There was a ton of seating outside too and a cool view of the area. The coffee was great, I had a flat white and my girlfriend had a mocha. Server was super nice. They also had these chia parfaits we didn't try, but we did get a chocolate croissant that was amazing. We ate it so quick we didn't get a picture!

If you're looking for ambiance, this is the place!!! Beautiful grounds to relax and enjoy your coffee. Iced latte with oat milk was on point, as well as the cold brew. Will definitely come back to try the breakfast burritos. Highly recommend!
