Corky's Kitchen & Bakery - Ladera Ranch

We were on a roas trip and tired and starving. Randomly stopped here. I got the pot roast. It was bland but had big chunks of meat, carrots and potatoes. And it came with mash potatoes even though there's giant chunks of potatoes in it. So that was weird.

The husband got a burger, said it was just ok.

Service was excellent though. We got 2 slices of pie to go (pumpkin and apple). The pumpkin was just ok, but the apple pie was good.

Corkys has great prices especially for their portion size. Food is good & the option of sitting inside or on their outdoor patio is great. Special shout-out to my server, Jannie. She has very good energy- sweet, and friendly. Thank you for making our experience a good one there. Will return, especially for their pecan pie.

First visit, all good, as expected.
My senior pancake breakfast, with link sausages, was good ($11.89).
The pancakes were served hot, plenty of butter, and the sausage was especially good. They were better than the usual ones most restaurants serve.
Service was prompt and friendly.
Recommended.

I stopped by Corky’s Home Style Kitchen & Bakery in Ladera after the remodel, but the experience was very disappointing. The service was awful — our waitress never checked on us, and we waited nearly 20 minutes just to get the check. My benedict came out cold, oily, and tasted terrible. The fruit cup even had a strange white substance on it, which made it inedible.

The to-go dessert box was messy with milk spilled inside, and when I mentioned it, the waitress just wiped it off instead of replacing it. I even had to ask for a bag to carry our boxes.

From the food to the service, everything was a letdown, and my stomach felt upset after the meal. Definitely not a place I would go back to.

I had been given a wrong pie for my husband’s birthday. Jorge, one of the managers told me to come back in anytime and he or Melissa, another manager would make it right. I went in yesterday and Melissa not only gave me the correct pie but insisted on giving my husband a HUGE cookie to make up for the incorrect pie on his birthday!! Melissa knew exactly who I was and the problem I had 2 months ago!! Talk about customer service!! The pie was amazing but the best part was the customer service!! Thank you Melissa and Jorge!!!

We used to love Corky's! What happened? The food was dismal. In fact my husband and I both felt ill afterwards. If you want to avoid all day in the bathroom go somewhere else other than Corky's! What a waste of $50.

Wow, we love this place. Old school family owned diner type of place. We don’t have a lot of these left any longer. Food is spectacular and the bakery has pies, cinnamon roles etc to take home.

The service was horrible and the food was below mediocre. Their menu attempts to be a Denny's or IHOP but they are far worse. Large portions don't make up for bad food. The worst part of our dining experience was the rude staff. Their bothered faces and less than friendly attitude said it all. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Thank you Alberto for a great dining and check out experience. On vacation. Breakfast blueberry pancakes served us then and in room for midnight snack. BYO omelette was plentiful and hearty.
He gave us to go beach coffee and a bag for our leftovers to carry with ease.
