We were looking for a new place for dinner and found Scarlet Kitchen. Reading the reviews, we were going in with possibly a little lower expectations on service; however, we experienced wonderful and attentive service. The entire experience was great, and we will be going back. We had wonderful cocktails, tasty food, and very good service from all the staff. Give them a try, they are a hidden gem.
Food was gorgeous and colorful but lacked flavor. Brussel sprouts were overdone, battered fish tacos desperately needed salt, loaded French fries were soggy and toppings were mostly onions. The fried chicken sandwich was the best dish we had, but the meal was overall just okay. We were the only folks there for lunch but had to flag down the server each time for the basics (i.e., ready to order, need the bill, etc.) and never had a water refill. It's a really lovely setting...
Our server Anthony was amazing and experience would have been great. But management only had him scheduled to be server, bar tender, and host. Once a few tables got sat he was trying his best, but he was set up to fail. If management would have properly staffed would have been 5 stars.
