She: Carnitas burrito (also with red sauce) A really good food spot hits their mark consistently over a long period of time (years). One of the reasons I moved to Ladera Ranch was to be within walking distance of this Crown Valley spot - which has been awesome since a friend first introduced me to Taco Mesa back in 2003. I moved away in 2018 and have never found a better burrito since, but will make it a point to visit this Taco Mesa any time I'm back in town. Best ever? Well, I'm not dead yet so 100% yes.

This is my first time here. I happen to be staying in the neighborhood for the weekend... I was disappointed with my visit. My partner I ordered 2 gorditas and I ordered a burrito with beans, rice, pico de gallo and guac with a side of guac and tortilla chips. My partner had no complaints. Unfortunately the burrito was not good at all. The pinto beans were very watery. I asked for rice but it was a very tiny bit as if they ran out of rice and gave me the scraps from the bottom. Wasn't desirable at all. The guacamole was very bland for a Mexican restaurant. No salt, no onions. Literally just avocado smashed. I had to add salt to it. Maybe it was a bad day but Unfortunately, I will not be back.

It is a cozy place and has several food options, the cashier who served us spoke Spanish and was friendly. I loved the wire tacos, very good flavor. I ordered carnitas and a cake and everything was very delicious!Parking: Very good location, open parking in a small square and free.
I really enjoyed the food here, the people who attended to be were nice and kind. The salsa bar was great and I also had a ice cold beer with my meal. I will definitely be back
$15 for a no-frills chicken burrito that didn't even fill me up. What is going on with food in this area?

I took my family here tonight because a nearby restaurant was fully occupied. We ordered 4 steak tacos and huevos rancheros with a round of horchatas. The steak tasted rancid. When we brought it to the attention of the restaurant they gave us a 30% refund.I don't understand their logic other than they don't want us to return.No problem!The one star is for the horchata.Save your money and time as there are many other taco shops and much better mexican food nearby.

Reliable preparation time, nice salsa bar. Burritos and tacos are good. Disappointed by lack of freshness of some foods including shrimp which smelled bad.
The horchata is GREAT! The steak tacos were terrible! They tasted like they were made with rancid meat. When we brought this to the attention of the restaurant, they offered a 30% refund. I honestly don't understand their logic other than to ensure we never eat here again. The one star is for the horchata.

I ordered from here last night 11/13 and got the carna asada. I got home to eat and opened it and it look like it was old meat that they still cooked and put on my plate you couldn’t even cut through it with a knife I had to pull the skin off the back of the meat to be able to cut through. We tried it and both me and my wife woke up throwing up . The meat tasted old. I never leave reviews but this was not ok by any means. When I walked in to get my food no body came to give me my food I have to find it myself.

I love taco Mesa! I know this sounds strange, but it is somewhat healthy eating... Especially considering it is Mexican food! There's street tacos are incredible. I am a fan of their lobster tacos and their blackened chicken tacos. Both are very unique for Mexican food.
I won't be eating here again.
