The food is always good at this location. You can ask for the chicken to be well done, juicy or in between. Personnel are always pleasant and friendly. The restaurant can get busy, specially at the drive thru at peek hours. Dine in is OK, place is clean but it's just a basic dinner. You eat and you leave, nothing different than other Pollo Loco restaurants. Don't forget to ask for your senior or military discount. Same for first responders. They don't mind you asking.

Not sure what's going on at the Pollo Loco Collier location, but things are in need of major improvement! Last night I visited and ordered one breast. I should have looked before I left the drive-thru but silly me I trusted a quality product. I got home and saw a tiny breast (maybe from a chicken not a hen) that LOOKED dry, and boy it sure was! It was so small and dry I literally chewed on it like jerky, then spit it out. It was not suitable for consumption.
This was extra frustrating because my visit before this one, about one month prior, was equally disappointing. I found when I got home that my order was wrong! Missing items and wrong pieces.
I feel like a fool for going back, but I guess I'll have to start going to another location.
Don't waste your money here.

Ordered on approx 1950 to pick up @ 2015 when they said they didn't have our order, hadn't come over yet. Wouldn't make us our order. Left went over to Farmers Boys. This place is a joke

This place had a great team. You could tell because they were like family and even the younger staff were confident and did excellent.
My experience was with William. I walked into the Lake Elsinore store and he was the front person.. I had movers at the house helping unload the truck and asked William the size of taco's and if they had like a value pack of 20 or so.. He was like, well let's see, and pulled up the screen options tinkered around and said yeah here's a 12 pack and salad, but for two it was like $65 and I was going to pay but he said or and found me a perfect combo with chips and salsa and I so happy. He just was a good guy, interested in where I moved to and why I left and came back, and where my son was. Like we had been long lost friends. It was a true human interaction that I thought was lost in newer generations. I value these because more times than not the restaurant person (especially not if in a waiteress transaction) anything outside give me burger and coke will be met with disinterested eye rolls.

The food is consistent to the flavors that you would expect from this restaurant chain. However the service was poor. Everything was done self-serve on the kiosk that was filthy. There is no customer service except the person calling out your number after they fix your food. It is a shame that there is no more customer service at this restaurant and now you have to do everything yourself. In the end one of the employees had to help us with the kiosk because the option to add extra creamy dressing was not available on the screen so we had to wait until an employee was available to help us.

I have not been to El Apollo Loco for years but decided to tonight. After my experience, I had to pull over after I literally just left to write a review. I don’t know the workers name but the lady who helped me at the drive thru window was the most kind, happy and cheerful worker I’ve ever seen. She was very positive and upbeat, and just had a way about her that made you feel welcome and you can tell it was her genuine energy. I can truly say I have a better vibe about coming here just because of her and her positive attitude. I visited at 10:18pm 9/23/2024. Amazing worker.
I love coming here especially in the afternoon they are always so welcoming as I order the worker there I think her name was Melanie was so polite very kind even offered me the chips and guacamole which was so delicious definitely will be going back and the manager was very nice

Over all it was a good experience. But it's been a little frustrating at times when the employee's forget to give you forks and spoons and napkins when you have your order to go and I think I've only had two incidents where the chicken was really dry and tasted like a couple day old chicken .but so far it's better then jack in the box service .FYI how about a smile and greet the customer once in a while and makes us feel welcome.

The food at El Pollo Loco was delicious, but the experience was dampened by the condition of the all-gender bathroom. Unfortunately, it had a strong smell of urine, which made it unpleasant to use. I’m not a fan of sharing restrooms with men who don't clean up after themselves.
