Long drive on the 15 from Escondido back home.

It was around 7pm when we pulled off the 15 to try out this restaurant. Excellent food and wonderful assortment of wine and cocktails. I had the seaside gimlet and it was wonderful.

We were given some bread and a sauce to start with, Appetizer was the Capri Salad, Main entree were the Sole Picada and Seared Ahi Tuna, for dessert we had some genuine homemade spumoni.

Will definitely drop by again when next we take the 15 down.

Stopped here for a more upscale dinner during a long drive on the 15 freeway. It was close to the off-ramp so we gave it a try. It was not during peak hours; there were only a few other tables busy. It was great.

The cocktails were surprisingly good (try the salty gimlet if you like cucumber), the sole picata was perfectly cooked and tasty, and the atmosphere was charming in a nostalgic way. The staff were nice. Overall I recommend it

Great surprise. The blackened sole was surprisingly good.

Moved to the area in 1992. Have been to this restaurant many times over the years and it has always been delicious- My late afternoon visit last week found the restaurant completely empty. As a matter of fact it looked closed- I was there with 4 other guests. The service was good, waiter was very sweet and attentive. The food however was horrible. Capellini Primavera had absolutely no taste, pasta tasted like it came out of a box and just a sprinkle of veggies mainly carrots. The others found their dishes equally as bland, not fresh and over priced considering the quality of the food. Even the bread seemed stale. Very disappointing experience, explains why the place was empty Will never go back .

We decided to try eating here while waiting for our cars to be serviced at Firestone. John at Firestone highly recommended. Very glad we did.
We were greeted at the door by a very nice waiter. He gave us a choice of where to sit.
He brought us bread and sauce while we waited for our order. Very good, house made.
We had Spaghetti and Meatballs and Fusilli with Salmon, all very good.
We had desserts, Tiramisu, Cannoli and Pumpkin Cheesecake, housemade and very good.
We will definitely be back.

I had delicious gnocci made in-house, the sauces were devine and the staff very friendly and accomodating both in accomodating. This restaurant was nearly empty at peak lunch hour (noon thirty) on a monday so thats a great time to go if you need a working or celebratory lunch!

Dietary restrictions: We have meat allergies and they were happy to sub the pork and beef meat sauce with beef only or vegetarian options.

Wheelchair accessibility: Good floor space and table setup made for easy wheelchair access and a comfortable seat for me in my chair. Did not have a power door but the door present was light with a decent threshold and the owner got the door for me on sight upon arriving.

I used to come here years ago, didn’t realize they were still in business.
Went for lunch today and the food was outstanding, better than I remembered it. I was not a big fan of the server though. We were not lacking anything but he was not friendly at all. I understand not everyone is outgoing or personable but when you are a server, you have to at least be a little friendly.
Back when I used to come, the servers were all so friendly and made you feel so welcome, like family. I’m not saying everyone needs to be like that but you do need to be a little bit nice.

Called in to order over priced Italian food (the only Italian food in Elsinore) and was told they're "NOT DOING TAKE OUT TONIGHT." In the age of Covid and I gotta sit in the restaurant to eat? WTF!?

Okay some time has passed since then and here is an update. My wife and I stopped in to have dinner and started with the Vincenzo's Bread
and Salsa. You have to try it. The bread is freshly baked sourdough with with thier signature Salsa Cruda. I ate too much bread. I had the salad with blue cheese dressing, my wife had the pesto dressing (too oily). The spaghetti with meat sauce and sausage was delicious. The portions are big. The server Heather was very helpful and kind. We really enjoyed our visit and will come back again. I can now recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Dinner with my wife and son. We shared the Bruschetta. My wife had the Sicilian Lemon Drop. Me and my son had the Chicken Pasta Cup each. He had the Orecchiette Pugliesi I had Spahetti w/Meatballs. My wife had Gamberini Con Prosciuto and Tequila Sauce. All of it was delicious! Marcus was our server and he was excellent! The Salsa Cruda is still delicious with the garlic bread.
