This place is a classic diner. Food is really good and the servers are very friendly and efficient. LOTS of people go there to meet and chat. NOBODY will rush you. It's also very easy to hear and be heard. Grab a friend, have a nice meal and catch up.

Went there on my birthday to celebrate the staff was rude the bacon and the food were over burnt the fries were terrible I had to finish my food and nobody offered me a napkin and when I asked for one the waitress was rude about it I think this restaurant needs to be inspected and better cooks it was a joke and a waste of money it made my birthday bad and I use to eat here as a child the restaurant looks almost the same they just took the name and the building and are running the name in the ground I'm just disappointed in lazy people

Very friendly atmosphere I had steak and egg breakfast everything was cooked the way it was supposed to it came in a decent amount of time and they answered all my questions I had I go here normally every time I come to clear Lake they also have great hamburgers and milkshakes

If you haven't tried the citrus salad at Renee's Cafe/Stars under new management. This salad is the best yet that I've had around the lake, it come with chicken and is fully loaded with walnuts,mandarin oranges, cranberries,apples,feta cheese, it's definitely a must try, and the raspberry vinaigrette tops it off!

Cute little diner with great staff and wonderful food. Had the triple decker club sandwich with fries. Bacon was crisp, toast was toasty, lettuce was crisp and the sandwich was so huge I could only eat half of it.
Next time I come by here, I’ll stop in for the chicken fried steak!!

Really nice place, totally relaxed atmosphere. I had biscuits and gravy and it was as expected. Usual small diner biscuits and gravy - which in my opinion could be much better. But when making it in large batches it's a bit trickier. So over all, I'd say that they are 4 to 4 and half stars on the food, but for service easily a 5, same with the atmosphere. If you find yourself in Lakeport it is definitely worth stopping for.
