The Lakeside Boll Weevil has been newly renovated and is under new ownership. The restaurant has a cool country western vibe. All of the original menu items are still available along with a good selection of beer on tap as well as wine. We enjoyed the traditional 1/2 lb Steerburger with side of fries and onion rings. We requested a medium rare burger and it was perfectly cooked. All of the ingredients are fresh. You won’t be disappointed!!!

The food is good but man, this place is so run down. They bring a tray of condiments to your table with deli containers of onion, pickles, and peppers but always avoid them because they obviously get reused and who knows who has stuck their fingers in there before you. The bottles of ketchup and mustard are old and grimy, obviously never been washed and scrubbed but just get refilled for what seems like years. Service is quick but not really friendly. Thought the new owners would invest a bit into the business but it looks like they just slapped a bunch of TVs above bar and that was it.

I haven’t been here for a long time, my grandchildren came into town so we decided to eat here. The food was good but our waitress was amazing. Her name is Janet and she was so kind to us and the kids. Thank you for the amazing service.
