Unfortunately, COVID has caused most buffets to close permanently. However, the ambiance, service (by Myleen), food quality & value at Sage Cafe made us quickly forget that disappointment. She brought us a basket of assorted breads as soon as we were seated (overlooking their lake) and took our order. My cobb salad salmon was grilled to perfection & my husband rated his philly cheesesteak with garlic fries extremely tasty. Portions were so huge we took half our meals home, so didn't try the desserts, which looked delicious as they passed by us to other diners.
A pricey buffet, but the food quality and selection makes up for it very well. The on location specialty chefs make some great foods.** Since the pandemic has pretty much killed indoor dining, and stopped cold all buffet style dining experiences, I felt like commenting on my short post. I am very hopeful that when things finally are back to a normal dining/restaurant experience, the buffet is re-opened. I miss it, my mom misses it, and most importantly, my daughters Really miss the whole buffet experience.
Love it at Barona. Great food . Loose slots. Always have a great time there.
Please bring back Atlantic Lobster Wednesdays. I stopped visiting San Manuel due to the superior lobsters that they have here. Visited today only to find out that they got rid of the Atlantic Lobster Wednesdays and to drive all the way from Riverside County down here for a gamble and buffet I was disappointed with the omission of my favorite pepper fried lobster. Please bring it back or I will be forced to only visit San Manuel Casino for my gamble and lobster seafood buffets.
The buffet area is currently being used as dining place for the food court. Sage Resto to go counter is also at the buffet area. The rep who took our orders and the one giving the ordered togo foods, need some training with customer service. Both are acting as if they are serving people that are picking up free meals or charity meals. Maybe its just one of those days, usually, they are very good and friendly or maybe those two were new. We were there last week, 11/13/2020.
Barona Casino is doing their very best to keep everyone safe and clean. Great job!
Barons gas no buffett it used to be number one now it sucks machines very low profile no winnings I took 100 dlls and usually last for awhile having fun not anymore I did not see no winnings it is sad they can controlled there was a couple we talk and they spent 400 dlls not even one bonus honestly sycuan and jamil are the best at least you have fun....your money last more...goodbye barona.. no more coming here is not worth it
If You're looking for a great casino, go to Barona's. Have you been all cooped up, looking for something fun... Go to Barona's, great staff great games great hotel, and a great spa, what more could you want?
The casino buffet was not able to accommodate for the large crowds on Wednesday lobster days. Wait became longer then the quoted 3 hour estimate. Most lobsters were dried and had zero flavor. Servers were so busy, they never refilled drinks and only removed plates from our table after they were piled high. Price is also 45 dollars now. It was 30 the last time I was there. I never do online reviews, but feel like I have to due to bad experience. I do not recommend.
I went to Barona Resort & Casino with some family members visiting from out of town. Took them for the Lobster buffet and my brother and his family were very happy and surprised as it was all you can eat seafood. My niece loves lobsters. It was a really nice treat for them all. If you go when they open at 11a.m. there is hardly no waiting. Service is good and the food selection is excellent. A must try if you have never been there. I rate Baronas lobsters buffet the best in San Diego. I have tried A lot. Worth the price.
Restaurantji Recommends
Best food in San Diego County. I had the Prime Rib. The Prime Rib is amazingly tender. The desert island is stocked with an array of treats. It is also staffed with very nice people. The servers are delightfully pleasant. The support staff is courteous and polite. I recommend the Buffet at Barons even if you don't gamble.
The buffet is really very high quality, with a wide selection of cuisines that are very well executed. The BBQ is quite good. The shrimp and snow crab legs are plentiful and delicious. They even have raw oysters that looked very fresh (I'm not a huge fan). The desert bar is large, with lots of tempting options. There's even a to-order crepe station. My only quibble is on the price: if you aren't a big gambler (or the guest of one), the price of the buffet is $45 or $50 (weekends/holidays). Come with a platinum/diamond member and it's only $15 (if they're not comped).
Best buffet around, great for breakfast! Their coffee smells so good and tastes as good as it smells! Get eggs cooked any way you want, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, all sorts of fresh fruit, cheese and nuts. We go for lobster on Wednesdays. Best lobster in town seasoned with salt and pepper, it is delicious!
Great place with great decorations and the best food
The best buffet in Southern California! We have made this our Family Thanksgiving dinner meet up for three years in a row. Huge variety of delicious food. Always fresh, great quality and excellent service. Numerous ethnic food options. The desserts are fresh and delicious!
