Best Mexican food in Lakeside! Been coming here for years and the consistency is phenomenal. The salsa is so good, the wet carne asada burrito is incredible, and the service here has always been top notch. Good cozy and homey atmosphere as well. A place I never fail to recommend if someone is looking for great Mexican food!

The Bar is perfect for that afternoon getaway and the Margareta's are outstanding, one should do the job.The place has been a lakeside favorite spot for years. the Bernadette burrito is the bomb. You may have to ask for it and its outstanding. I like mine wet. Parking may be tight but well worth the effort.

I've been going to La Palapa with my dad since I was a little kid. Their food, drinks and service have always been consistently fantastic! I've since moved out of east county, but whenever I'm in the area and wanting a strong margarita with good food, I go to La Palapa!
