Excellent every time! Chicken and beef dishes are tender; staff are warm and efficient; and the one time I met George at the downtown LB location, I felt like I was at his family's home. Wonderful!

We came back to Long Beach to experience George's Greek after a fantastic experience years ago, but since then, the wonderful and dynamic owner has passed away, and his lovely restaurant has gone downhill. Way downhill. Our server with the hot pink hair could be amazing if she got more training, the food sucked. Our appetizer plate had calamari that was microwaved, and the spanokapita was cold. The ambiance is terrible. It's dirty and more like a dive bar than the nice dining experience it used to be. We won't be going back.

I was Looking for a spot to eat healthy today. Found this place. Entered this business established, was greeted and seated immediately. Menu's were given to us. Ordered a Greek Lamb Salad, flat steak dinner and wine. Took a bite of both food entrees. All was fresh and delicious, including the wine! Saturday evening was quite pleasant. A guitarist was playing the night away which made the ambiance great. The thing that stood out was the service. Our Waiter and the staff kept checking up on us and stating if we are good and if we needed anything else. This was ongoing on our dining experience here. This shows that their very adamant about the service given that reflect on their business. A tip worth giving. Not like those other locations where they barely put in any effort on customer service but expect you to tip 23% or more. I recommend this place in the Lakewood California area. You will get great tasting food and service. This is my go to for Greek food in this area.!

We are so Grateful For George Greek Cafe! Mike the manager was so gracious and helped us with a HUGE MEAL! We had 4 gyro sandwiches a Greek Salas rice and they gave us 4 water bottles! And all the food......YUMMY! Make sure you support this great restaurant.

George's is a wonderful Greek eatery. It is so cute, all blue and white exterior and the inside is inviting and very friendly. Parking is easy.George's is clean and the service is fast and nice. Your server knows the menu well and they have a lot to offer.We had lamb as well as fried calamari which was served with wonderful sauces. We also had some skewers (souvlakia), chicken and beef. They were cooked perfectly.Their hummus is so good and their bread, the best.We love this place.

Lamb was delicious as well as the appetizers. Salad was dry (lacked dressing)Worst part of the meal was the galatoboureko.It was a tiny piece that tasted like pure flour/dough. Horrible desert.
