The city of Lakewood is hosting a LeadHer series during the month of March and I signed up to attend "Behind the Scenes of Success"; a tour of women-owned Lakewood businesses. Arlae Chip and her husband own Nostalgia Gorditos. Although this was a private event, the owners and staff were super kind and friendly. There was nothing I tasted that I did not like. The guisos (stews) were meant to go inside a Gordita or tortilla but I ate them all with a fork and tortilla chips. Restaurant is about a year old, freshly painted clean and well organized. I can't wait to go back!

Advertised as Northern Mexican styled food. Picadillo Guiso (ground beef and potatoes) Breakfast Burrito - beef was positive, but the other stuff like beans with the potatoes washed out the meat flavor. Better to get the guiso stuff without too much fillers. Chicharron en Salsa Verde Gordita - skin was both soft and a little bit crunchy. Being soaked in the green sauce and not too much other nonsense made this one tasted better than the breakfast burrito. Guava Agua Fresca - was like guava paletas in a drink form :)

I went to have lunch and I only had $10 cash (they don't take Apple Pay) and eventhough I left no tip after ordering, the lady that took my order offered me some chips, which were very fresh and crunchy. The salsa bar is also very and good tasting, they make their own jalapeno/carrot pickles & red onions too. The pork in red sauce & salsa verde egg gorditas were yummy! I'll definitely be back to taste all of their menu options.Vegetarian options: Some gorditas have no meat, just egg or potatoes w/ salsa. Great seasoningParking: Shopping center parking lot

Absolutely love this place! My favorite dish has to be the chilaquiles plate with green salsa, with a side of chicharrón en salsa verde. The service has always been great and friendly. Ohhh and their Gorditas are life!! So full of flavor each and every time you take a bite. You will not be disappointed with whatever protein you decide to add to your Gordita.
So 1st time trying Nostalgia Gorditas. Aralie was so helpful and polite. Wonderful customer service. The Workz burrito was amazing. The restaurant was so clean and the salsa bar is the BOMB! I will be returning

We stumbled upon this little gem through Yelp . It was soooooo good . My husband and I ordered a huevos rancheros plate a chicharron Gordita and I ordered chilaquiles . The salsas at the salsa bar were delicious. The customer service was great . The owner was sooo friendly and answered any questions we had . Will definitely be going back .

I eat here at least 1 once a week, food is amazing!!! I love spicy food so I always get the green salsa chicharrón Gorditas!!! Try them!!! They are fire!! Staff is nice and friendly and funny!!!

I've been coming to this restaurant specifically for the rajas as they've been the tastiest I've encountered. Well today's visit was a different story. After a week of the restaurant stating they had "no rajas today" this Sunday it was different, and they had them. Typically the rajas at this restaurant are white, and cheesy in consistency to where the burrito is wet but NOT today. The two burritos I ordered were as dry as a bone! Definitely not the same cook and ingredients. When I called the restaurant to give the feedback. The female owner seemed offended when I explained my concerns. I told her there was definitely a change & of course she stated that she's the cook and nothing has changed as she "prepares everything". Your customers are no fools sweetheart, we know change when we TASTE it! Needless to say it was just about 11am when we got our order & they were ALSO out of salsa. Today I paid $27.00 for two rajas, beans & rice burritos. I could've went to Taco Bell and spent $2.00 on a bean & cheese and been more satisfied. Nonetheless, we will no longer return after today's encounter.

Highly recommend Nostalgia Gorditas, it's super delicious. Very authentic cuisine. We tried 4 different gorditas & a burrito. Papas/Chicharrón en Chile Verde Picadillo con Papa Frijoles con Queso Bistec Ranchero They were all delicious, will definitely come back.
