From time to time, I shop at the Lakewood Albertsons, which is where this Starbucks is located. This is one of four Starbucks locations at Lakewood Center. I usually don't go to Starbucks, especially since I detest drive thru lines as long as those of In N Out or Chick-fil-A, but if I have a Just for U deal for a $2 Grande drink, and I happen to be shopping at this location when that deal is active, I'll be sure to stop by as long as there isn't a line to order. Sounds kind of stringent, I know, but service can be kind of slow at this Starbucks, especially when there's only one barista behind the counter. Sometimes, you'll see two, but I do remember a time when there was nobody behind the counter, and it took a minute before a barista came to assist me. These Starbucks employees may help out with checkout and bagging on their down time, so don't be surprised if you see this in-store cafe unattended when you arrive. Also don't be surprised if you see the barista doing one order at a time, meaning that if there's a customer in front of you in line, that customer will get his/her drink first before you can place your order. On my last visit, I had that $2 Grande drink deal, and I wanted to use it on a non-coffee drink since it was close to 5 PM, well past my designated time for a caffeine kick. The menu behind the barista(s) may be hard to read if you have poor vision, so this would be one place where I would suggest taking a photo of the menu and reading the menu from the photo, a trick I like to do when I'm standing far back in line at any eatery. Since the $2 Grande drink deal would work for any drink, I chose the most expensive one: Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai. I believe if you use regular milk, it would be 30 cents less, but since I just had another Chai with whole milk the night before, though at a different cafe, I felt like trying oatmilk instead. The lone barista in the cafe, Italia, was working on a couple's order, so she needed additional time to prepare their drinks. Even when I was the only customer waiting to order, it still took a couple of minutes before Italia came to the register to ring me up, and she seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else on a Sunday evening. Not off to a good start, unfortunately... I quickly placed my order of the Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai, and as soon as I headed over to the pickup counter, Italia mentioned to me that they had run out of oatmilk, so she asked me if another alternative milk would work, only mentioning soy in the process. I don't like soy milk, but I assumed that was my only option, so I went with that. However, I wish she had told me this at the register because I easily could have chosen a different drink instead. Plus, if there was another alternative milk like almond, I would have liked to have known that as well. It took another couple of minutes for her to prepare my drink. She handed me my drink, and then I grabbed a smaller straw from the pickup counter. There are larger straws, likely for venti size, but for my grande drink, the smaller straw sufficed. The drink was quite good actually with a taste of moderate to strong boldness that masked enough of the soy milk that if Italia hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have noticed. However, I definitely would not pay $6.45 for a drink that small. I'd only recommend getting it if you have a deal like I did. If I rated this Starbucks based on the drink alone, I'd give it 4 stars out of 5, but I'm dropping the rating to a 3 since the wait can be painfully slow, and the baristas don't necessarily seem as appreciative of the customers' business. However, it could make for a nice treat for the ride home after doing your one-stop shopping at this Albertsons.

I love the drinks here or welll I used to, but the service here because of Arianna is soo much morre enjoyable and the service here for some reason is much quicker and. Efficient than the other location in lakkewoood across Costco lol. The ambiance is inside a grocery store so it's alright! Thank you Arianna and Free Palestine‍

The same taste everywhere...? Not really. I think Korea tastes better though. The vibe is similar and it's great for a caffeine boost.

This is the closest to my house. It is crazy crowded before work. A long time ago I got a banana chocolate muffin that was delicious from here. I haven't seen it since. The line does move but not too quickly.

They don't open at 5. Since it's in a grocery store they seem to pick and choose when they open at 5. Which is very unprofessional for a business to do. Especially a Starbucks.

Customer service is great but this is the SLOWEST STARBUCKS EVER!. I literally wasted my whole lunch standing in line. (Mind you it was only me and 2 other people in line). I'm used to Starbucks being fast paced but it was really slow. Please train the workers on efficiency or hire someone with more experience
