Note to self: don't ever play here on a Saturday afternoon. After 3.5 hours, on 10th tee box, waiting for the front group to hit their 2nd shots. Looks like a 7-hour pace today. Pretty much similar experience from my last three or so outings to Latewood, I mean Lake..woe, I mean Lakewood. ?‍???

The golf course was great! The staff at the golf pro shop needs better customer service but everything else is perfect!

5-somes!I don't really need to add anything do I?Anyway, I live in Long Beach and generally play Sky, Eldo or Rec. All 3 have their pros & cons. I tend to avoid Lakewood "Country Club" (ha!) due to its notorious slow play. It's not the golfers fault, it's the poor management of the course. I've never played a round under 5 hours there. The course is greedy and more so, bad at managing tee times. It's absurd that they still allow groups of 5. 5-somes! What a joke.Attn: Lakewood Golf Course management, do better.

Lakewood country club has got to have the worst online reservation system around. Ever since they switched to some Let's go golf, tee times are almost impossible to get. When you do get a time and select to Book it, a system error comes up, utter BS. Try using a system that actually works properly like LBC courses.

I stayed there for different purposes than golf or restaurant service, but the greens invite you to relax your spirit. Beautiful place.
