Hello! I purchased a German Chocolate cake for my brother's 50th birthday this past Sunday 9/19/21. That was the best German Chocolate cake I've had in a very very long time! It was so moist all throughout the cake the coconuts and all!!! A very satisfied customer I am!!! ?

NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BAKERY!!! This was by far the most bizarre experience I have ever had in purchasing a cake. Just to preface, I am not the type of person to post reviews good or bad about anything, but this is the first review I have ever given because the experience was so horrible. When I had initially put in the order, Linda seemed to be great. She was able to get us a vegan cake quicker then I could get one from anyone else on short notice. Now I understand why. When on the phone for the initial phone call I asked if I could pay when we pick up the cake and she agreed. Then later that night she texted me asking if we could actually pay for the cake at 7 AM the next day even though we were not picking it up until 12 PM. Initially I agreed as I was busy at the moment, but as I thought about it I realized I would rather pay for the cake when we pick it up in case we were not satisfied with it and to make sure that we were given a cake. I let her know later that evening that we would like to pay for the cake when we pick it up if possible. She never responded so I figured it was OK. Then, at 2 AM I receive a text from her saying that we have to pay at seven so she will not be making the cake and we need to find another bakery. As it is 2 AM I begin to panic and ask if we can please get the cake and then I don't mind if we pay at seven. She does not respond so then I have a hard time getting back to sleep thinking that the person we are getting a cake for will now not be receiving a cake. Then the next morning I decide to reach out one last time before looking for other options, and ask if we will be able to receive the cake. I wish I would've just let it alone and gone to a different place. She then says she will make the cake. She then begins to start texting me 5-10 times in a row about different things. She really wanted to know the address of where the cake was going even though I do not feel comfortable sharing my address with this woman. She refused to let me put the cake into my own car. She insisted that she must put the cake in even though it's my cake, and I have purchased it and I should be allowed to put it in my car however I like whether it's with her suggestion or not. She made everything very very difficult, and would not stop texting me. I have placed a few photos for reference. Then, I finally go to pick up the cake and it is the most immature looking cake I have ever purchased especially for $115. We asked for white icing for the writing, which this clearly looks yellow. There were sprinkles and roses added when we had asked for a plain cake with just the writing. The writing was also so bad it almost looks like the name is misspelled because the C looked like a G. Overall this was by far the worst experience I've ever had purchasing anything in my entire life. I would never ever ever talk to this woman or go to the bakery ever again. I am in fact I am now blocking the bakery owners number because I know after I write this review she will try to harass me. So please beware and never buy from Way Beyond Cakes.

Chef Linda is the Best. Her Frosting is incredibly light and delicious. All her baked goods are top shelf. It is very difficult to find a vegan Chef of this caliber. Please come back soon, I already miss you

Just wow!!! These cupcakes are amazing. So delicious. I went to this bakery the first time yesterday because my little sis who is allergic to dairy all her life found this bakery online. Linda the owner chef was so friendly and nice. I'm also a diabetic and she said let me know these cupcake were also ok for me to eat. My sister and I took a bite of her cupcakes and was so amaze on how moist and yummy they taste. We will keep on coming here going forward .

I got this cake for my boyfriend's birthday, and even in a small pandemic-friendly gathering, we had to account for a host of dietary restrictions, including a milk allergy, a celiac, and a vegan. This is not just the best vegan & gluten-free carrot cake I've had, it's probably one of the best carrot cakes (and cakes!) that I've ever had, period! Although vegan/gluten-free options exist all over Los Angeles, I would honestly say that you cannot find a higher quality cake (and a reasonably-priced one at that) than here. Also, the lemon frosting on the carrot cake was a new combination that I hadn't had before but really loved. Chef Linda was also extremely warm & friendly when I went to pick up the cake! She was very helpful in giving me instructions on how to keep the cake safe on my drive, and an unexpected interruption that day had caused the cake to need about an extra 40 minutes. To compensate for the extra time, she sent me home with two complimentary chocolate cupcakes! I could not recommend this place enough, to be frank. Definitely worth the drive from the downtown LA area.

A great keto and vegan friendly baked good option. My sister is currently keto due to her pregnancy and was craving some sort of cake for her birthday. Was able to order a keto friendly chocolate cake from here and she loved it. Linda, the owner, was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to make sure the cake was special. Would definitely recommend for a healthier baked good option!
Linda is a very kind and attentive shop owner. I arrived on a day that their kitchen had some technical difficulties and she was still able to offer me some cupcakes that were luckily available. It's really nice to have a vegan bakery in this part of the LB area. I'm used to driving up to Larchmont for similar products, so I will be patronizing Way Beyond again!

I made an order via postmates because my go-to gluten free bakery Twice baked doesn't do postmates anymore. I am so glad I decided to try this place because it's even better!! I tried a variety of things and I am so impressed by the light/airy and moist texture of the muffins and cupcakes! Gluten free cupcakes tend to be pretty dense so I was extremely surprised! This bakery will definitely be my new go-to!

I've had the pleasure of ordering from Linda before for someone else's birthday. And today I've had the pleasure of enjoying her bakes for my own birthday! Tickle me impressed, they're so unbelievably delicious. My order was simply a half dozen vanilla frosted vanilla cupcakes and she delivered! They were impeccably tender and delicate in flavor. Unlike some places which would skimp on quality, she certainly assured me to try it as fresh as possible and I'm glad she stressed on it being important. Pros: She delivers a high quality product and goes above and beyond to deliver something to you from the heart. Meaning in addition to my cupcakes, she gave me a heart warming birthday greeting card and extra cupcakes. Cons: Some technical issues which are easy to forgive. As in oven not working and waiting a bit more for my cupcakes. I can imagine it not being a regular occurrence. So if not this, then no cons! Regardless it's real sweet to get a cupcake to complete my day after all the the foods I couldn't eat due to this gal's dairy allergy.

Shout out to Linda for making it happen when faced with obstacles. I ordered a dozen cupcakes for Saturday and everything was good until Saturday. She contacted me to let me know that she was sorry and my order wouldn't be ready by noon. She mentioned that one of her ovens was out and I could hear in her voice that it had been a rough morning. The cupcakes were for my sisters birthday (she is vegan). I went to pick them up at 2:30. I was in constant communication with Linda. She is communicative via text and she will call you back. When I got to the bakery, the order was not ready and I had to wait while she frosted them. I could tell that things were overwhelming for her. She was by herself and doing a lot. Despite all this, I received my cupcakes with a smile and when we ate them, they were absolutely delicious. Very light and airy. Not overly sweet frosting and cute presentation. I will be placing orders in the future. Linda told me, "These cupcakes are for everyone (vegan or not), they are just good." She was right.

I picked up some cupcakes for my vegan cousin and hole mole, it's so good! It was a pleasure meeting Linda the chef and owner, she's very sweet and friendly not to mention talented. She threw in some chocolate chip cookies and I'm mind blown they are vegan and GF. They are delicious!! Thank you and I will def be back to try the other goodies!
