azteca mexican restaurant

I discovered this restaurant about 2 years ago and since then I’ve driven the 3-4 hour round trip from Ventura several times, sometimes with friends or meeting them there. Why do I do it? Because it’s the best Mexican food I’ve ever had and it’s served by impeccable staff members.
Please don’t judge the restaurant by the exterior of the building……the real joy happens inside!
I WILL RETURN OFTEN!!

Always great food and service. Very comfortable. The fish tacos are fantastic!

Now this places needs to get it together they have more flies flying around than one of these farms around here. Few waitresses that work work here act like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. If your a server that can't show respect go work somewhere else.

The food and service were great for a small place. Recommend coming here!!

We have been eating here for years, but noticed lately they charge more than the menu price. We asked about that, and the reason was their register charges more. Well get a new register! Now their charging for to go containers and over $5.09 for sodas. Very disappointed in them. I guess we'll be going to Rosamond for our Mexican food.

Staying in an airbnb near by for work and we wanted something close so we found this little gem. We certainly were not disappointed! As other reviews say, don’t let the outside fool you. This place was so cozy inside, has top notch salsa and freshly made chips, absolutely delicious meals in large portions & incredibly friendly staff. If you’re in the area, check it out!

Dishes of note: Zarapes, pollo a la crema & any of the burritos!
