My husband and I’ve been here a few times now. It’s one of the better breakfast options in the AV, but IMO that’s not saying much. I usually have traditional eggs over medium (decent), bacon (room temperature, greasy like it’s day old) and share my waffle (the waffle is substandard, flimsy and small for the $12 price tag (menu lists this meal as the waffle sandwich, though the waiters say they’re not sure the reason since it isn’t a sandwich at all). My husband’s had the cornbeef hash and said it tastes like dogfood (which has been a common experience anywhere more often than not). And last visit he had the Eggs Benedict, which he enjoyed — though I had a bite and did not like the taste at all. As other reviewers state, the waiters are not friendly. They rarely come around and seem to cater almost exclusively to certain groups while largely ignoring others. And it’s frustrating trying to flag or call out to someone to refill or bring things that are needed. We’ve resolved to doing without since it’s hopeless to get service or items that should have arrived with the meal. The drive to More than Waffles in Encino is well worth the effort. The standard by which cafes worth their salt should aspire.

The food here is absolutely Great!!! Only thing that sucks is the service the young waitress just stands in the back of the counter with the other Young Waiter just flirting the whole time. I had to literally get up 2x just to ask for refills cause all they were doing was tickling each other, when we got there she yelled from the counter anywhere you want to sit is fine, but al the booths were dirty, out of 6 booths only 2 had people the rest were still dirty literally pathetic! Food is really good tho! Shout out to there CHEF!!

Breakfeast was good. Not one smile or positive thing said the whole time. Felt like being served by Zombies in a diner along some desert road. Idk maybe someone died that day?

Food is awesome, and delicious, great options!
Service is also, great!
My family and I have been a loyal customers for many years,
But The place needs a renovation, is old, everything needs an upgrade, tables, paint chairs, curtains are disgusting, Floor ! Etc.
That will create a totally awesome experience,
Plus the food is not that cheap,
TLC is badly needed !!

Small cafe tucked away in the corner of a small shopping plaza. We were a group of 12 people (separate payments) having lunch after church. Very friendly service, great menu selections, fresh food. Set up tables so we could all sit together.

I shouldn't be saying this.
But this is the BEST place in the AV for breakfast.
My to go for the best choice is tge Personal Trainer
Clean, updated diner atmosphere with great breakfast food. Waitress was attentive but realized we were killing time as well as dining and didn't push us.
