Costumer service is so bad i was doing doordash i was waiting in my car and i came in to pick my order at absolutely right time and they told me it not ready yet i showed my phn to the lady at reception that its time to pick my order and she told me you can drop the order and other driver can pick the order. Like seriously i am getting late because of you and you are telling me to drop the order. Hopefully god bless this restaurant.

The food lived up to the name. But whoever made the sweet potato pie needs not to ever do it again. The only ingredient you taste is the sugar.

I stopped by Off the Chain Soul Food in Lancaster after a long road trip, not expecting much since I've been disappointed with most of the soul food I've tried in LA. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I don't understand what all the negative reviews are about because this is hands down the best soul food I've had in So Cal. I was born and raised in the south so I have high standards, and Off the Chain exceeded them.

The greens were absolutely amazing—perfectly seasoned and flavorful without needing anything extra which is always a sign of well-made greens. The oxtails were tender and packed with flavor, and the portion sizes were generous. I'm so glad I gave this place a chance; it's a true gem, and I'll definitely be back.

I came across this restaurant because I needed to find a soul food restaurant that could cater for an upcoming gathering. The restaurant I usually order from was booked. After placing an order for my gathering, me and my mom decided to order to try out the food. It is delicious! I had the fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and green beans. My mom had the smothered pork chops over Jasmine rice, yams, and green beans and she loved her food, my mom is a picky eater. I had to call back and add on more food to my order for catering. I am so happy I gave them a try. Definitely lives up to the name.

Been wanting chitterlings for like 10 years they didn't disappoint only wish it had a little chitterlings juice in in but taste awesome going back today for my daughter for rib plate

Today I was finally able to try two dish that sell out all the times I want them. Gumbo Greens and Oxtail egg rolls with two sides. Everything was so good. The portions are huge easily with both items can feed 2 to 3 people. The gumbo greens were tender and season perfectly. The meats weren’t overcooked. And the perfect amount of spice. The oxtail egg rolls were crunchy on the outside Tinder on the inside season perfectly. The sides were so good too. One of the best soul food spots in the AV.

Prices are too high for the portions of food they provide. I spent a little over 50.00 and I'm not expressed the ribs were tuff with too much fat on them. The greens no season. The ? well I thought the were hot links the were not tender no sweetness. Potato salad was ok. Now the fried chicken has flavor but the wings were burnt. I thought I was getting some good soul food . I am so disappointed! I haven't had food this awful in a while. Prices are ridiculous for this food ? and the nerves to not give refunds smh. Never again

The customer service, the flavor of our meals, manager coming out to my group to ensure we had everything we need, I mean how do I justify giving this restaurant just 5 stars! This was the absolutely the best part of my vacation. I am never going to forget this experience!

This food was a 10 out of 10! They don’t call if off the chain for nothing. I had the fried chicken, collard greens, corn bread, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and candies yams. Everything came out incredible, moist chicken and cheesy mac and all. The candies yams had the perfect flavor and sweetness. I would highly recommend anyone to this hot spot and I will definitely be coming back before my trip is done over in Cali. I am from Connecticut and don’t know much about the food around here so this was an amazingly lucky pick. Thank you for the great service and incredible food!

Okay. This place is "off the chain".
I have been here twice. I live in tehachapi and I drive almost three hours back and forth for the gumbo.
To be honest, I have never tried anything else. There is so much to chose from. Do not let the price of the food fool you. It is worth every penny. I grew up in Chicago. I lived in Vegas for over 20 years. Lots of culture and food options between the two cities. In Tehachapi, we don't have any soul food options.. at all. I have been looking for this place for almost 10 years. I found it.... don't believe the bad reviews. People have bad days as well as the restaurant. This food is awesome. Great service. Great portions. Freshly made.... it takes about a half an hour for some of the best food in the AV.
Try them. They work their butt off to make you awesome freshly made meals. This is not a " what can I get you" restaurant that plates you up in 5 minutes. You will wait and you will be happy. At least I am everytime I come here. This place has my business as long as they are open.
I can't say enough good things about the owner and the food. If you are reading this... give them a try. Leave a review about me if I am wrong.
I hope and pray this business can one day do a franchise. They deserve it . Thank you OFF THE CHAIN!!!!!!

So I just got done with my haircut. Been checking out their menu and this was my 1st time trying out this restaurant and was not disappointed. The catfish was great candy yams was delicious, and the shrimp with mac n cheese had me on the fllllloooo!!!! This was a incredible experience...especially for the work I do for restaurants I was deeply impress and would love to make sure to support this business. Please check this restaurant out the people is great here and they have Kool aid!!!!! I have not had that in over 2 decades!!! Thank you so much!!!
