The food was nasty I just went yesterday mind you im from the south. ATLANTA,GA TO BE EXACT and the yams were over cooked too much all spice and cinnamon , Mac and cheese was salty, fish was salty with a slight fishy taste the only thay was good was the collards, so i order 3 chicken and waffle plate for my kids and the chicken grease was burnt you can taste it in the chicken, waffle 🧇 nasty too much all spice and cinnamon. I give this place 3 for effort the wait time was so long

Sigh, deep exhale while smh, I rarely drop reviews but man this had to be done. I'm not one to disrespect the culture and bring down an owner of the business but someone has to light a fire under the owner or else this place will continue to collapse. Walk in- there is no one there at the register, your greeted by a short staffed sign please be patient with us. This happened another time too. Look around the TV is off, football fan blowing hot air, look up and you see no vents for air conditioning so im guessing that's why employees aren't present in the front. There's another sign with sloppy writing which says check your food, another sign that says no exchange or refunds. Almost every customer who walked in because they don't do phone orders meal were incorrect. The worker looked as if they just finished from a smoke break eyes low and talking slow. It took damn near an hour for food which was overly cooked fried chicken, smaller than a pinky legs, Mac n cheese tasted like it was made in a greyhound public restroom, the rice was hard felt like you were eating plastic while the cornbread was the size of a ping pong ball overly wrapped and broke apart on first pick up. The experience took long, too hot for customers, so I definitely feel for the employess but even then who's at fault? Food is absolutely not worth the price, if im paying that much for the food then allow me to pay over the phone so im not waiting or have to leave and come back and its still not finished. Owner has a few choices either go back to the drawing board and bring back the fire and excitement from when they first opened by renovating the place to provide air for employees and customers or find a new location, clean your image offer exchanges without employees being rude pointing to the no exchange refund sign, or switch up the menu. They just need cooks who care, better management or provide employees something to build morale. This place seems like its slowly dying, there's no promotion, no word of mouth reason to go here, they're just there and due to low competition maybe a reason why they still exist because its not for the quality of food.

Overpriced and disgusting… my chicken was full of grease and extremely salty… the wings were not even edible. the gumbo was all rice and 5 pieces of shrimp in a small container for 22.00

50.00 for nothing. The lemonade was the only good thing I purchased

The chicken tasted like it was fried in fish oil, the waffles were thick and dry and tasted like pumpkin spice, mac n cheese was runny and super salty, oxtails were nothing but fat, and the lemonade tasted like vape juice. Super disappointing experience, not to mention they didn’t have any AC and the workers looked like they were dying, straight drenched in sweat; felt so bad for them.

Stop being lazy and stay open later 6 o’clock is to early people with jobs 9-5 can’t even eat here stay open later and get orders right yall have amazing food but get orders wrong more then you get them right .

The shrimp and grits were amazing! We also had the fish,yams, mac n cheese, and collard greens, which were delicious as well. The only thing that I would critique is they need more help. The owner was very accommodating and was doing the best he could, but because of the long wait to order, he had some customers leave. With that being said, if you have patience and you don't mind a wait, the food is amazing and worth the wait😊

I drove from the east side for the ox tails. Thoroughly disappointed. Way too much salt but no flavor. They were tender. Red beans and rice also way too much salt, no flavor. Yams were not sweet enough. My dog enjoyed a $30 meal. I will not go back.

I ordered gumbo it was suppose to come with chicken , turkey sausages and shrimp. When I dived in it only had like 5 shrimp 5 sausages and no chicken. I was disappointed. Overpriced for nothing and take long to cook. I will never go there again.

Wasn't what I expected. The pieces of chicken kinda big and the batter was a little sweet. But you get a lot of food and the Red Bean and rice had a different seasoning. But the service was great.

This restaurant never opened on a Wednesday to be exact 5/14/25. It was a waste of time for me to come during my lunch. They had a few people waiting outside to be served. The voicemail states the company is open (7) days a week.

They have a very long wait time. You go and ask for your order and they say wait 10 or more minutes. You come back 10 minutes later and they tell you the same thing. This place is terrible.
