I wanted to support this business. I walked in, it was empty. JUICE machines running on almost empty... when I walked in, the cook-cashier- owner? (NOT SURE) was walking out to his car. I waited 10 minutes inside with another customer, nobody was there. The guy that walked out with the apron on was in the parking lot rinsing his mouth out with a bottle of water and spitting it out. I waited 5 more minutes ... nobody was at the counter ... at the 20 minute mark, I walked out because obviously they were not actually open for business today Sunday @ 2:13pm February 23rd, 2025. I tried to support, was prepared to spend at least $100. Must not have been meant.

Well I am a southern woman from the south and let me tell you I spent 59.00 for worst food ever the fish dinner I bought was supposed to be catfish and it was bad I got a two piece pork chop dinner that wast fired with some kind of batter and then I was charged a extra two dollars for gravy that I thought my granddaughter made at the age of two the wing dinner had Cajun seasoning and hot sauce on the chicken that was over cooked and the fries oh my was hard I don’t know who cooks this food but soul it is not

First time here and it is so delicious, well seasoned, chicken nice and crispy yams are delicious and the greens are on point , also you can tell they clean their chicken well I order a thigh and was expecting lots of fat on it and nope BOMB Only thing I'm mad about is that I should of got 2 corn breads instead of 1 because it is so dang moist! Will be back 10/10
This some of the best soul food me and my husband had. I had fried fish, Mac and Cheese, and grits everything was seasoned to perfection. I can’t wait to go back again

The pork chops had been cooked in fish&Chicken grease it’s cross contamination also it was old oil the gravy on the rice was beyond black the Mac Cheese was over cooked the yams was not cooked they were hard and my $6 drink was watered down no ice a lot of sugar water
This was my second time going to this place first time is when they first opened now years later it’s still remains terrible 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 1-10 I’ll give it a ZERO 🎤👋🏼

Despite the bad reviews, I was hoping to like the place. I’m from LA, and I know good food, especially soul food. This place is disgusting 🤮, and I’ll never eat here again. The chicken tastes like it was beer-battered, resembling a subpar version of Pioneer Chicken 🐔 in LA. The mac and cheese tastes like it had garlic powder in it—just straight-up nasty 🤢. The yams 🍠 taste like they came out of a can and were old and undercooked. The greens taste like they used spices meant for seafood, but not in a good way. The rice and gravy are the same; it tastes like you were trying to add a Cajun twist, but you missed the mark and didn’t deliver on the flavors. I cook way better soul food at home, and like one guy said, it’s better to drive to LA and hit up spots like Tev's Kitchen. The LA Try Guy went there, and it’s off the chain.
