The potato salad taste like relish too much of it in it lemonade cake from the store. It’s not homemade lemon cake. Banana pudding is very watery.

A friend of mine, convinced me to go here, and get wings for my son. My first disappointment is that the order was not accurate. I asked for wings and fries and macaroni and cheese, and we were given greens and macaroni and cheese, of which my son was very disappointed and did not eat. He did say that the wings were good because they were crispy. For my meal, I ordered the fish dinner with macaroni and cheese and greens. The fish was good. Personally, I don’t like sweet greens and the macaroni and cheese was plain, we ordered two pieces of cake for dessert one of which I Specifically asked the young lady at the register to confirm If it was German chocolate cake, she said yes and then I got home and realized that it was just chocolate cake. Overall, the experience was 3 because the location was clean. However, the service lacked. The young lady assisting me was not focused. She was not paying attention to what we were ordering. The woman who cooks had to come out and help her. The food lacked flavor, and it was very small portions compared to the $$$. Another issue for me, was that the menu print was so small I could not read it. The fish was cooked well and had flavor. Overall I will say I was disappointed.

The worst food I have ever had! First, it's expensive. Second, the spices they use have no correlation to nay soul food I have ever had. Third, the fried chicken was like rubber and tasteless other than the spices that were horrible. Fourth, the green beans were nasty and the sweet potatoes had no flavor, again, other than the horrible spice combo they had. Fifth, the corn muffin was tasteless as well, didn't find any corn in it. Sixth, the service was abominable, It took 35 minutes to get our food, if you could call it that. I only wish I could give this place negative stars. I love soul food but, this place has no soul and it's obvious that everything is either frozen or canned. Nothing is fresh like soul food should be. My wife and I had to walk out of there having thrown everything away.

Food I ordered was the catfish meal it came with yams and Mac n cheese. Yams tasted like potatoes there wasn't much going on the Mac tasted like pasta the catfish was okay after eating I felt like my body was gonna shut down lol . It was hot as hell in there when I entered they said hi and started gossiping in front of me before asking if I'm ready to order I was standing there for a good 5 minutes ready to order and they were standing in front of me as well I only ever go to local places I don't do chains or anything like that but I wouldn't go back here again

We were super excited to find a soul food restaurant close to home but this place is super disappointing. we ordered almost $100 worth of food. 2 entrees and about 6 desserts. my order (smothered chicken special with rice and gravy, mac & cheese, and cabbage) was horrible. the mac tasted like they cooked it with krafts singles sliced cheese, the noodles were overcooked and it was basically flavorless besides the cheese. the cabbage was undercooked and flavorless. the gravy tasted and looked old and when i poked into the chicken breast a foul odor came from it so i threw the whole plate away.my fiancé had the rib plate with mac collard greens and yams. his plate was small even with buying 3 extra ribs for $10 his collards were bland, the yams had too much ginger to where it overpowered every other seasoning and the ribs tasted off.my kids loved the homemade ice cream sandwiches but the banana pudding i ordered was watery and looked old. i didnt even attempt to taste it.i definitely would not recommend this place to anyone who wants good food.

Walking in wasnt greeted properly all the employees were sitting eating, the food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered Meatloaf, greens and Mac and cheese. The meatloaf was turkey meatloaf which should have been Stated on the menu, secondly the Mac and cheese was old it was stuck together and gummy And coldTo the touch, Thirdly the greens were as if they came out of the can. The service was alsoHorrible!! 0 out of 10 would not recommend!!

I Ordered the Turkey chops meal with collards and Mac n cheese. When I first arrived to pick up my order, there was another female who walked in and walked right past me and went behind the counter and didn't say hello or asked if I needed assistance. Her attitude wasn't very friendly. But another lady came From back and helped. She was very nice.The chops were very good and well seasoned. The greens could have been a little tender but it was tasty. The Mac n cheese was not good. It was dry and needed more cheese.
