There was a bug in my food, staff is decent but food is overpriced and they never check if it is clean.

If you love Peruvian food, and you live in San Joaquin county I have you good news! Driving to Lathrop you will find the only place where authentic Peruvian food can be found. Start with the sweet flavor of a chicha morada, that drink evokes a walk in the park in Lima, holding grandma's hand. Do you live Papas a la Huancaina?, phenomenal! When they bought the plate, my mouth was already watering! Pollo asado al estilo Peruano! Cállate!, arroz con pollo verde! Pura sabrosura! Salsa music as soundtrack gives you the feeling that you are in El Callao, Chipun!.

Great Food-
Customer service was Excellent!
They treat just like Family.
Very clean and Delicious.

It does not matter how long we have to drive to get there- it is worth the drive.

Friday’s night : Karaoke, I really need to go one of these Fridays with my Family to enjoy and relax.

Lomo saltado was delicious!! One of best dishes I’ve had from a restaurant. I wanted to eat pan con chicharon but it’s only served weekend days I’m hoping to try it at some point. It was a bit pricey but lomo saltado was more than enough to feed two people.

I had the fried fish with rice and a salad. The fish was cooked to perfection. The Jalea looked yummy.

Extremely Disappointing Experience

We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday to celebrate a birthday, expecting to enjoy the rich flavors Peruvian cuisine is known for. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.

Service was extremely slow, rude, and unprofessional. Our server showed a clear lack of interest in her role, and it took far too long for both our order to be taken and for the food to arrive. When the Anticuchos appetizer finally came, it was so salty it was inedible. We informed the server politely, but her dismissive response—“We’ve served this all day and no one has complained”—was unacceptable. She walked away mid-conversation, offering no resolution and leaving us unable to order a replacement.

We chose to share the remaining two dishes rather than continue engaging. I ate most of the Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos and was ill the next day with mild food poisoning symptoms, which impacted my ability to work.

To top it off, we had to get up and search for our server just to pay the bill. The lack of care in both service and food quality was shocking. This experience not only reflected poorly on the restaurant, but sadly, on the broader representation of Peruvian cuisine. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

Excellent food and service! We were traveling through the area, easy access off the freeway. We will come back next time we are in the area.

My new favorite restaurant in Lathrop. I don't know how I didn't find this place sooner. The food was phenomenal, portions were a little large so depending you can likely share. I'll definitely be back

Absolutely phenomenal food!!! The seasoning blew me away. They also have a great selection of Peruvian drinks that you won’t find at the store. Service was great and the place was clean.

Home style Peruvian food. I really enjoyed their seco con frijoles and saltado de carne. Don’t let me forget how delicious it all tastes with some ensalada criolla. The ceviche is out of this world, will be returning for sure.
