Not the best Peruvian restaurant, as it lacked quality in some of their food choices. I was there with my folks who enjoy Peruvian food. We traveled from the Bay Area to Lathrop after checking Google Maps for restaurants. We had seafood rice, Ceviche with fish, and Pesto spaghetti with steaks. The only standout was the spaghetti with the steaks. It was good, especially the steaks it came with. The rice with seafood was not very good, nor was the ceviche. Both lacked a good flavor and just didn't hit the spot. We came for the rotisserie chicken, which Peru is famous for. Unfortunately, they didn't have any on that night. We were left a bit disappointed after a not so good experience.

The food is decent but the portions are huge is all I'ma say like, if you think you can finish it, you probably won't. The leftovers are gonna look like you brought the food home.

You will wait for ever to get serviced. To get a drink to say the least. They don’t keep track of who walked in the door first. They take orders by guessing. Ridiculous.1 chef 1 waiter? Ridiculous. If you want another dish you have to wait for everyone’s else’s order to be processed. Ridiculous! It’s as if they process the full order of a customers first (order, cooked, served) before they get to the next customer. Unacceptable. I will not be returning!

I thought the DMV had the worst customer service but I think this place beats it. I have never been served so poorly in my life as I was in this restaurant. The lady that attends was most rude and with less empathy for serving her customers. Every time we come or friends come they have to wait 30 to 45 min for a dish, plus their prices are not justified for the little attention they have. I would never recommend coming to this place.

Best Peruvian food I have had in a while , el pollo a la brasa was fresh and juicy and it was a plus with all the sauces . We also had lomo saltado and the flavor was everything for me it was super tasty good size for the price of the plate . You can taste the freshness of the fish in the ceviche . Overall it was a great experience the lady was super nice and efficient and make sure we felt welcome in this restaurant and made sure we were satisfied by our food . PS she had some delicious dessert like alfajores and milhojas and there were soo good that I took a bunch home to share with my parents . Will recommend this place if you want to taste fresh delicious food in a budget . Will come back for sure with all my family .

Out of several options to eat Peruvian food, this place is the best by far. Not as fancy as others on the bay area, but the home quality style surpass everything. If you order the dish called the trio you can feed 3 or 4 people for less than $40. Includes fried calamari, best ceviche ever, and seafood rice (chaufa de mariscos). The anticucho is delicious. Try the typical beverage chicha morada and local soda Inka Cola. You might need to wait a while, they cook everything after orders, worth the wait!

I love the food! Generally it’s all good, the aji de gallina was terrible though no flavor. Seco and papa La Huancaina is great! Also, sometimes they run out of items I’d avoid Sunday nights late as that’s when they had run out of several items even Inca Cola. I wish they had pisco sours—? I mean it’s a wine beverage. My biggest issue is the lady who runs it has terrible customer service. Slow. Not particularly welcoming. And chooses certain tables to take extra care of and neglects others. We often tip her 25% but this time I did not. You do not get rewarded for leaving us sitting for 10-15 min no greeting or taking beverage order (4 total tables) She also never checked on us when we were eating and my food came out 10 min after my husbands and fathers food. More consistent service and a helper would be best. Also she forgot my water and when I went up to inquire about it she was sitting in her phone. Service needs to improve! I drove 1hr to go here and expected better service and a kinder experience. And I am Peruvian! Please get better. :-(

Great food. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. The plantains were sweet, crunchy, and soft inside. The rice was spot on. The portions are large. The drinks are stellar. I have no complaints but based on previous reviews, I recommend this restaurant's staff to remain consistent with their opening and closing times if they want to be even more successful.
