Don’t judge a book by its cover unless you know—as we do— that it might be hiding just what you want. This old hole-in-the-wall has the kind of food we were seeking with delicious flavor, which is what matters at lunchtime. We would definitely go here again!

I had a really bad experience at this restaurant twice. The place as soon as you walk in you can smell that stinks, the food is not bad at all but is not good either besides that they make me wait exactly 20 minutes for 3 asada tacos and no one was before me when i made my order so that's too much waiting for what I ordered. So if you're in the area try to find a better taqueria where to go to eat. Hope they improve the service, the sanitary and the food if they don't want to increase a really bad reputation for their taqueria.

Stopped by for breakfast on New Year's and was surprised this place was open early. Pleasant and friendly service and delicious food awaits you here. The menudo was seriously the best I've had, and my daughter said their pozole was yummy too. My husband also enjoyed the bacon breakfast burrito. Will definitely be returning!

Cheap mexican food by a very nice lady who also doubles as the cashier. It's like you're eating at her house. Food is solid but not spectacular but the price point beats every place in the greater bay area by a mile. If you like my reviews, consider "following" my profile for reviews all across the SF Bay Area . Why "follow" someone? It causes the person you follow's reviews to tier to top when you pull up a business. I find this very handy when researching venues. Rod's Review grading scale explained. Essentially I personally base it on the likelihood of a return visit and I try to be stingy with 5 star reviews since they should be "special" in my eyes. Price/Value also play a role obviously but there are $ and $$$$ littered across my grading scale. 5 stars - "I'll go out of my way" (approx 6 % of my reviews) 4 stars- "If I was in the area I'd go here and would recommend", (approx 38% of my reviews) 3 stars "Maybe if was nearby", (approx 37% of my reviews) 2 stars -"Would likely not return, Only if you want to go", (approx 16% of my reviews) 1 star -"No thanks, even if I was hungry", (approx. 3 % of my reviews)

I was 15 minutes before they close, but they treat me the best way. Tacos is really good and delicious!

Super expensive and little food. I had a carne asada and they gave me a small steak and so little food, I even had to ask for more tortillas and when I went to pay I was surprised that i had to pay $19.00dlls. For a soda and a steak.

Be aware of the prices being charged. I ordered a three item dinner, and an extra order of rice and beans and chips and salsa. I didn't realize until I got home that I did not have my order of chips and salsa. I called the restaurant and she said she Did not include them in the order and did not charge me for them. It was hard for me to tell because I only received a receipt with a total amount and was not itemized. I remember making the remark that there were a lot of containers and it wasn't until I got home that I realize there were 3 separate dinners and not a 3 item dinner. I went back to the restaurant and she said it was because they do not do 3 item orders and they have to be separate. wow!!! Who ever heard of this practice??? Not in any of my 60 something years have I ever had this happen. And when I told her that wasn't right. All she said was "right". she did not tell me They could not do a three item dinner at the time I ordered. I've never seen anybody do business so bad at a restaurant like this. She made no apologies and offered no customer service to rectify. I basically paid $42 for a three item dinner and I did not receive the extra rice and beans either. There were just rice and beans in each plate and charged to me for three different dinners. Also I don't know why this place gets the good reviews it gets. The food was okay. The Chile Relkenos were pretty good but the beans and rice are nothing to speak of in taste or quality. I can get much better food at Cancun, Tio Pepe's, Miguel's and anywhere else that I go. Just drive a little farther to Stockton and get good food and good service!!!
