Food was decent, but they told me it’d be a 25 minute wait. Ended up waiting an hour and my order was wrong! Rude service, won’t be back.

My new favorite spot! They don't rush their food, and it shows. Everything tastes amazing! It's worth the wait.
I took it to go, and it was all packed neatly and not just thrown out the window.

100% recommend!! This is now my go-to place for pupusas!! I was born in El Salvador and haven’t been able to find a place that reminds me of back home until I found this place. The pupusas remind me of the ones I grew up with, the service is wonderful as the owner seems to be passionate about making authentic pupusas. If anyone is in the area I recommend trying this out.

Best pupusas I’ve tried in all Central Valley! I’m so happy I’ve found my pupusa place coming from a Salvadorean, they taste just like home!! Always a good amount of salsa and curtido too! Do yourself a favor and try them.

This is THE place to taste delicious authentic Salvadoran pupusas at the Food Plaza on Harlan Road in Lathrop. Maria’s a wonderfully talented chef. Don’t miss her food truck serving up hot fresh dishes for omnivores and herbivores alike!
Vegetarian options: As far vegetarian fare goes, I have only had a spinach pupusa, but it was really good! I also loved one the first one I tasted with beef. I will definitely be going back for more. Deeeeeelicious!!!
Parking: At lunchtime with so many food trucks, it might be challenging to find a spot, but well worth it!
Kid-friendliness: Situated among many other food trucks in the plaza, it’s a fun atmosphere to experience with the kids! Plenty of seating with umbrellas to provide shade. Worth the trip, for the whole family!
Wheelchair accessibility: I didn’t totally size that up, because I don’t use one, but I assume it would be fine for wheelchairs. The everything is on street level.

During my recent visit to Maria’s Pupuseria at the Lathrop Food Plaza in Lathrop, I had an outstanding culinary experience that I can't wait to share. Nestled amongst a diverse array of food vendors, Maria’s Pupuseria stands out with its vibrant atmosphere and the tantalizing aroma of freshly made pupusas that beckoned me from afar. The moment I approached the bustling counter, I was greeted warmly by Maria herself, whose friendly demeanor and obvious passion for her craft set the tone for a delightful dining experience. The casual seating area, filled with the lively chatter of satisfied customers, added to the welcoming vibe of this food haven.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their pupusas con espinacas y queso - a delightful fusion of wholesome spinach and melty cheese enveloped in a perfectly griddled corn masa shell. Each bite was a testament to the care and expertise Maria pours into her cooking. The balance of flavors was impeccable; the slight bitterness of the spinach harmoniously complemented the creaminess of the cheese, while the masa provided a subtly sweet, slightly crispy contrast. Accompanied by a side of tangy curtido and a touch of zesty salsa, the pupusas offered a symphony of tastes that was both comforting and exciting. This standout dish not only showcased Maria’s culinary skills but also served as a heartwarming reminder of the rich, vibrant traditions of Salvadoran cuisine.
