I'd ordered the bento box with salmon teriyaki and tempura. Everything was great except, tempura was very disappointing. It wasn't crispy and light, but too much batter like cake texture, too soft! It wasn't like this years ago when it first opened up. Service wasn't attentive, but fast. The waitress checked out once and that's about it, but they're friendly.

After having my chair moved while I was still sitting in it to make room for another customer I can honestly say that I was embarrassed and surprised to be treated as less than. The food was good and I return regularly for their fried rice. I think it may be sometime before I return to enjoy a meal inside this restaurant again.

I know this is Lathrop so the bar is VERY low. This is just a run of the mill generic American sushi place, not a Japanese restaurant. Ordered prawn tempura soba, got boiled shrimp, no tempura, and RAMEN NOODLES ? the wait staff told me the entire menu is old and there’s nothing available on it, everything I asked for they had no idea what I was talking about. Chicken was tough, beef was gristle and tough, Sushi was generic, had four sauces drenched all over it, and most of it was fried. Nothing fresh, nothing special, if you want boring generic sushi you can get literally anywhere else in America, I guess this is your spot., It’s a very “turn and burn” shop, expect to wait an hour and don’t expect it to be good. But hey, I guess it’s cheap and that’s what Lathrop people want ?‍♂️

the best tasting Japanese food in the area! place is quite busy but that tells you how good they are. staff are very friendly and don't lose their cool when some clients get hostile. their salmon sashimi is the best I've had and price is very reasonable.

Food was awesome, bartender was above and beyond and so was the rest of the staff. We went an hour before they closed too & were never rushed!

Hard one, I was in between 3 and 4 starts. I'll explain why. First I went to an early dinner by myself this evening around 3 which I was happy because the restaurant was a bit slow at that time. I ordered some spicy garlic edamame and was disappointed as it came out mostly cold. I've been here before and it was always steaming hot total bummer. I had a nice young lady ask me if I was ready to order we had a conversation about what I enjoy sushi wise and she recommended the red rose role and the Godzilla based off my preferences. The Godzilla was really good, big!! so I had to eat the roll then the crab on top which was fine with me, because it was very yummy. The Red rose was bland and boring. The young lady asked and I was honest, she was quick to see if there was anything she could do to spice up my roll, at first I declined but she then offered me this ginger vinaigrette she makes to help. So I couldn't say no...it was really good by itself. She then offered me a shot that she makes typically is a starter shot before the meal, I agreed and she brought it over which is the glitter shot you see. It really just tasted like juice with no alcohol. I asked her what was in it she said "tequila." Mmm either dangerous or no tequila. I thanked her and told her I've had a long day and needed some time to relax. We conversed for a moment about maybe bringing friends next time so she can make us all drinks. I told her when you get my age sitting alone not having to entertain brings a lot of calmness Shortly after she brought over another drink and said here you seem like you can use this, and it's stronger. This one with the umbrella definitely had sake in it and it wasn't bad. The only issue I had is she charged me for both, sure the first one that's okay, but I felt a little blind sided that she was offering yet I was charged. Watch out for Angie! She's great and sweet but she'll up charge you on those shots! Otherwise all was good.
