We used to love coming out to the Sunset Sports Bar at Tachi Palace. The Blackened Chicken Salad and full plate of ribs were flavorful, generous, and worth the trip. Sadly, the recent menu changes have taken a serious downturn.
The Blackened Chicken Salad? Gone. The chicken sandwich? No longer available. In their place: a bland steak salad and limited options. Even worse, the online menu is outdated, so don't rely on it when planning your visit.
Service has also slipped. The waitresses didnât know what came with the meals, and when my wifeâs BBQ Chicken Wrap came with sliced Swiss instead of the three-cheese blend listed, the server insisted the Swiss was correctâuntil the menu proved otherwise.
The rib platter was noticeably smaller, and our nachos (which we asked to be made with shredded cheese and extra cheese) arrived with barely any cheese at all. Half the chips were dry and untouched.
To top it off, both of our last visits involved 45-minute waits for food, despite a not-so-busy dining room. Itâs frustrating, because this place used to be one of our favorites. Great food, good drinks, and solid service. Now? Inconsistent, understaffed, and disappointing.
They still have potential, but unless things turn around, we won't be returning.

The wait time was not bad at all. We sat on the outer edge by casino floor. This was our second time here. The first visit we had the nachos and they were great. This visit we had the fish and chips, the ribs and the south of the border hamburger. The fish and chips was overpriced for the amount of fish they gave, and bland taste would have gave 1 star for that alone . The ribs were, also overpriced in our opinion for the amount of food. Taste was ok not bad, not great. The south of the border hamburguesa was ok. Not great not bad but the mixture of ingredients didnât work for me. If we come back again I think we will stick with the nachos. They seemed to be the best bang for our buck here. Our waitress if her name really is the name on the receipt Jasmine, she was great. Super friendly, and attentive. She was the delight of this visit.

I was gonna get a drink. But I decided to smoke instead. The bartender was as slow as a snail and didnât seem friendly at all. But there is many other places to get drinks in the casino. So there is that âșïž 11/06/24 4:35pm
