You can't please all of the people all of the time...Whoever penned that bit of wisdom never ate at Awful Annie's. In fact, im beginning to wonder if I've even been there or I just dreamt of the incredibly diverse menu, the service that makes you feel loved and the absolutely finest example of breakfast/brunch/late lunch/cocktail hour or just cocktail sauce. It really is that good. I couldn't say it if it wasn't true...

Amazing food and amazing experience! My favorite meal on the menu is the Parmesan Grilled Cheese Benedict. They have different gourmet bacon flavors, my favorite is the Thai Chili, so I substitute that into my meal and it's the best Benedict I've ever had! On top of that the service is too notch, sweet servers and very attentive.

The food is always excellent here. Reasonably priced. Good Bloody Mary’s. They’re open for dine in, which is wonderful during Covid since it is hard to find a place to eat with dine in.I wish I would remember to take good pictures of the food but I always gobble it up so fast. I’ll update this next time with more photos.

Being rated 4.5 star, this place looked very promising. Around 12pm, the 15min wait was not too bad for a 3day weekend. They have a really cool waiting list sytem that you can see how many paeties are ahead of you, and how long you have been waiting on your phone. I ordered the crab cake benedict and bacon flight people rave about on yelp. My husband wanted a breakfast sandwich, which they did not have on their menu but our server was nice and suggested they could make what they used to have on their menu. The food was good, but there is nothing to write home about to be honest. I have been to so many other better breakfast places so it was okay. The bacon flight was cool tho. Side potato was I thouht bit ridiculous in portion and tasted mediocre. My husband picked fruit as a side, and I guess because of the season, they did not taste good. He did not comment anything on the breakfast sandwich either lol. So I read about indoor dining while it is prohibited during the ICU capacity being under 15%. It is true they do indoor dining and not only they do indoor but to full capacity. We had a dog so we sat outside and they do have heater, but it is pretty small and only parties of 2 can sit outside. Thankfully we were the only ones outside (it looked like they were not even suggesting outside unless you have a dog). However there were not enough space between tables outside either. And I am not even sure if they cleaned with disinfection spray or liquid while setting up our table. All I saw was wiping with wet towel (but they might have sprayed the towel before coming to clean our table.... who knows). I certainly did see this place is very popular (full house indoor dining). Workers are nice, friendly and attentive. And I understand there would be too much money lost if they wouldn't do indoor dine-in, because they really don't have space outside. But at the same time, there are all the other restaurants following the law, so I feel bad for those are closing business, or offer only takeout/outside dining following the rules. So for that reason, I had to take 1star down.

Indoor dining during a pandemic? Check. Indoor dining in defiance of mandate against indoor dining? Check. Covid super spreader location? Check. I used to be fairly regular diner but this is a deal breaker. I won't be back. I cannot support a local business that does not support a healthy community.

I've always loved Auful Annie's and would go every year in july when I come home to visit. And to me that's what Awful Annie's is really about. From the Kitschy atmosphere and diverse menu to the friendly down home service and sense of community. Now that I have moved and live in Lincoln I have only been there once because of pandemic but it really is, to me, a slice of home..

We have enjoyed many Breakfast meals here before and it has always been excellent. However this trip, my wife menu item, the Biscuits and gravy meal was warm only. My ham steak and eggs was excellent. Our friends chicken fried steak was excellent. Our side of Bacon was excellent. Service was excellent as usual. Remember to be there early on weekends because they were starting a (Waiting List) when we were leaving.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Northern California. The raspberry jelly is out of this world,. Their biscuits with the jelly is a magical experience for the taste buds. My husband and I find every excuse to drive the 1 hr and 20 min to have breakfast here.
